It means owned. I first saw it in 1999 when I started playing Ultima Online. Reds would say pwned after killing you among other things. I used to see in in AOL chatrooms as well. We called it Kool Dude speak. They saw themselves as lEeT or LeEt.
In his case it may be due to simply fat fingers.

i would love to hear another dream evil. since it is my fave dio album
but i really liked master of the moon, very emotional and seemed like it was one of those albums you could tell it was run over with a fine tooth comb
but i dont care as long as it has dio on the cover i am buying it

Here's an idea - maybe not a popular one, but hey, - I'd like to hear Ronnie's slightly more aggressive recent vocal form to be used to do something a little different. Take the scream at the start of Gypsy on the Holy Diver Live DVD, and from the same show those little raspy grunts on e.g. Heaven and Hell amongst others. I think this is indicatave that Ronnie may be trying something different with is voice as it has changed over the years. I personally like hearing these occasional aggressive phrasings and such because it gives some extra power, emotion, feeling, whatever to the song. I'd like to hear it utilised a bit

That would be really cool, but he also mentioned that he nowadays prefers the slower songs, and also said that we should expect some mixture of both fast and slow stuff.
THE COOP: More aggressive vocal performance? Not necessarily. Ronnie is more convincing now using his middle register. I think that what you recognize as a deliberate aggression in Ron's voice on The HD DVD is just the flu he was probably coping with at the time of the concert. And I personaly miss the lyrical intro to songs, sung with a crystal clear voice. Maybe I will find it on the next album. |

I don't think Ronnie was ill at all. I've heard a bootleg of another recent concert, and he sings in the same, agressive way he does on Holy Diver Live. In fact, that scream at the start of Gypsy is done exactly the same as on HD Live, and he does it again on Mob Rules, I and Heaven and Hell.
I think that if I am right and Ronnie is singing in a more aggressive way, it is being done purposely and simply because he can now that he sings in a lower register. I think it will be interesting to see what other things this allows him to do with his vocals.

I dont want it to sound like anything on the list.
I have always thought DIO should make a concept album related to the Lord of the Rings trilogy. That would be amazing! They might have to make a double album to fit in most of the important details.
Can you imagine Ronnie James Dio singing "One ring to rule them all. One ring to find them. One ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them."?
It would send shivers up and down our spines!
EDIT: And, he could dress up like a wizard on stage. I mean a real wizard with a staff and long flowing robes. |

I am 100% serious. I meant every word. If DIO doesnt do it, I hope Rush does. They already have Rivendell, so they could work off of that killer tune of Elvish origin. I might have to start my own band to make this DREAM come true if DIO wont oblige. That poses a glitch in my master plan, as I have no talent.
But back to Ronnie James Dio, the man is a little on the short side. Who cares? He is a giant among men in all ways that count. He is tall enough to get on rollercoasters at theme parks, so I dont think he is missing out on much in life due to his short stature.
As far as Hobbits are concerned, I hold them in the highest esteem. I plan on winning a million dollars this year because I am involved in a Marlboro contest. If my plans of becoming independently wealthy come to fruition, I might actually build a Hobbit home. I really dig the circular elements and ties to nature present in their architecture.
Trust me. DIO + LOTR = SOLID GOLD
