| I think you might be onto something with this album poll thing. I'm going to find you a copyright application. This is a hot idea, and if you don't act soon, poseurs will be copying you all over the internet, comparting this and that. It'll really be a shame if you don't cement this idea as rightfully yours. |

some days & am very angry...

there is no Better Album...
no Better song...
its just what kind of Mood your in...
some days... i like some Dio songs better than others...
what Message does MY Mind want...

sometimes i feel very Evil...
at times i feel Good...

I think the arrival of Grunge in the early 90s obviously did some damage to Dio.To put out an album with sword and sorcery, Rainbows and Dragons as a theme would have been laughed at during the 90s.
Music became a lot more serious, angst ridden and depressing.Ronnie obviously had to come up with a new formula if a new album was gonna sell well. Hence we got SH and AM.
Problem being this style of music didn't really suit him.It never really brought out the best of his voice.Bombastic guitar solo's weren't the in thing anymore either.
What you got was a more aggressive sound and more emphasis on power than melody.The songs were less complicated and more direct. |
