As a whole album I will have to go with Magica. It rocks hard!
But looking at each number individually, it would be The Last in Line. |

I don't know the album Magicia!
Is that the new one?
How do you know??
For me, it's Dream Evil. There's something about that record that makes it very special for me. _________________ --- BURN (Dutch Heavy Metal) ---

Why is Sacred Heart being counted out!? This is how I see it. Holy Diver was an amazing breathrough album for them. Every song rocked, flowed very well- a definite 10/10. Then came the Last in Line, which in my books is exsactly equal to Holy Diver as far as song structure and flow. Those 2 albums are, and were amazing. But, theirs something about Sacred Heart that makes it their best. I think it surpases Holy Diver and Last in Line by a mile. The songs: Sacred Heart, Rock and Roll Children, and Hungry for Heaven are some of the most emotional, well put together, catchy songs Dio ever made. I think it's fair to say that Dio's albums kinda went downhill after Sacred Heart. Dream Evil cannot compare at all. I havent enjoyed any Dio Album after Sacred Heart until Master of the Moon. Anyways, thats the way I see it. I just dont get why people disregard Dio's best album, which is Sacred Heart. Its so underrated that its sad.
Ps: Dio's only songs to ever be on the billboards 'Modern Rock chart" are: Mystery (Last in Line) Hungry for Heaven and Rock and Roll Children (Sacred Heart) amazing eh.
Heres the Link for the billboard chart:

Maybe others simply see it differently than you do. Everyone likes their different eras and for some their favorite may be when they entered into the greater Dio realm so none of the initial albums are their faves because they have memories attached to other later albums that make them their favorites. Maybe others were here from the begining as cells mutated into multicelled organisms and lung fish walked out from the sea to take their first breath.
To me Sacred Heart just seemed to miss something. To others it is the end of the Campbell era.
You can't make a poll and then get upset if others don't pick what you want. Damn, I just had deja vu. Didn't this conversation already happen. Perhaps others simply pick Holy Diver because it was made for the sole sake of making music and not to make tracks that the record companies pressured to make more commercial sounding to sell more. _________________ Smacks & Manly Thumps,

FindTheSacredHeart
Devin has really said it all,you can't have a poll and expect everyone to like Sacred Heart...I know some folks will not even be able to vote for just one...and will not even pick a album in the poll,I did not even think of Sacred Heart, even if it had 5 hit one number singles...I still would not pick it,I think the way Stargazer did his poll was a better way for the fans to decide becoz they could still pick all of the Dio cds...anyway here was the results from the Stargazer poll.
OK finally heres the results, PLEASE ADD COMMENTS to the results as they will be passed onto the management and if it proves helpful to the management I will be doing more DIO topics for us fans to vote on and pass them on....the number of first votes are in brackets..
1ST..... HOLY DIVER....................232 POINTS (14)
2ND.....LAST IN LINE...................196 POINTS (6)
