Yeah that one seemed to get by me somehow. I just started downloading it. Maybe it'll be finished by Christmas time. Thanks for reminding me.
Watch out for those Paul Stanley hot flashes.

Today I had a big Metal Fest. My band was apart of it. Alot of bands sang AFI/MCR. I can't stand them.
OUR SET LIST WAS:
Breakin' The Law by Judas Priest,
Crazy Train by Ozzy
Feed My Frankenstein by Alice Cooper,
Detroit Rock City By KISS

and finally we did HOLY DIVER it recieved the greatest reaction. All the REAL metal heads flew to the front. All the side banged band geeks fled. There was no winner but OH WELL!!!

When the words "holy diver, You've been Out too long in the midnight sea" got out there was an uproar

LONG LIVE DIO

Hard choice, though I was shocked you didn't have the other metal vocalist that I regularly see referred to as god, Kai Hansen, the grandfather of power metal... (that might just be my constantly visiting the blind guardian boards though...)

Oh jeez, I don't think I can pick one, Halford, Dio, Alice... how can you possibly pick between those three!? I'm gonna have to do some coin flips to figure out who to vote for... and in a close showdown, the almighty coinflip has decreed that the one and only metal god is...

Ronnie James Dio!

(He won by 1 coin flip, barely beating out Halford, who beat Alice by 1 flip as well...)

Ronnie James Dio is the metal god for sure!

other sub-metalgods are:
Bruce Dickinson
Steve Harris
Adrian Smith
Dave Murray
Nick McBrain

non-metalgods are:
Rob Halford is a very good singer, but his music isn't so good that I would call him a metal god. Judas Priest is good, but not so good to be a called metalGODS. I call them metalkings.

Ozzy ain't a metalgod at all, I don't like his music and don't like his voice.

Alice Cooper is nice somethimes, but no metal god either.

For me there's no doubt about it.
Ronnie is the metal god, now and forever.

Okay, my 2 cents:

Halford was simply phenomenal in his prime, that's for sure, and Judas Priest was one of the defining metal bands during the late 70s and throughout the 80s.
Ronnie has always been up to par with him, but the music's been different all the time, so I cant really decide between them. Moreover, the poll is definitely missing Eric Adams, who, for me, is the one singer who is always metal and never "just" hard rock.
Btw. Biff Byford is another man who is in his late fifties and still does the job with great fire and awesome vocal prowess, but not too many people seem to recognise his band as one of the greatest (I DO) because they didnt have as much financial success as the others.
Anyway, to make a long story short, Ronnie IS brilliant, but he's not the only one who is Very Happy

There is only one metal god: RONNIE JAMES DIO

Rob Halford is also great, but there can only be one metal god.

I don't like ozzy and the only song I ever heard of Alice Cooper is 'Schools Out'. That's a nice song, but nothing more then nice.

*Sigh* Always the way. Breathless - I seriously suggest you check out some of his work. As other members who I have 'converted', as it were, will attest, there is much more to him than you'd think. Rock, metal, jazz, disco, rock'n'roll, psychedelia, beautiful ballads, chilling ditties, just about everything (even rap!!) apart from reggae. Plus Alice is the best lyricist to have ever put pen to paper. No-one else can make you feel legitimately creeped-out and follow it up witha line to leave you rolling on the floor laughing.

The only problem with halford being thee greatest for todays voter is he was way too stagnant at the last concert i witnessed last year, waay too much holding onto the rails and not very much motion, you take the clock back 20 years and yeah he was tuff too beat, but maaaaan he looked stressed out there on the stage,
maybe some working out before a tour wouldnt hurt.
