I think it's crap for Ronnie and the boys to not tour North America, even just for a few dates, at all and totally dismiss all the loyal fans in that part of the world. I love Ronnie to death and think that he is without a doubt the BEST vocalist in the history of rock music. My Zen is about 90% RJD, from Sabbath, Rainbow and Dio. I love his music and think he is the best ever. It would be the most amazing thing ever if Ronnie came to North America, or hell, even Canada. There are thousands of loyal dio fans still around in North America and Canada, so please Ronnie, please, even if it's for like a week or something, please come back to North America, please come back to Canada because we miss you and want you back!

It's a problem that can be associated with a huge number of bands. Personally, I think bands should tour all a far wider amount of places. There is nothing more irritating than a band you know is popular not playing where you can see them!! 2 cases in point: Rob Zombie and Aerosmith NEVER EVER come to UK. Why? It's not like there's no fan base. So I know how you guys feel.

it has nothing to do with Ronnie turning his back on America. The fact is this, metal bands just dont do well enough to turn a buck in America these days. Especially not old school metal like Dio, Motorhead, etc. Touring is hard work and when you play 40 dates in America and barely make any money its just not worth it.

I have seen Dio many times at all kinds of venues. The last few times at half filled clubs, the show was still killer but it must be a bummer to play to 300 people you know? The album sales for Master of the Moon were abyssmal, it may not have sold 10k in the US. Id say America has turned its back on Dio myself. I hope he tours the US again because I love him but I wouldnt blame him for only scheduling a few dates.

I've seen him every time that he has played in the last 9 years in San Diego, and even in a smaller venue, the place was completely packed. Then when he played with Iron Maiden at a large arena, I don't know if it was sold out because I didn't pay much attention to the crowd, but there were thousands of people there.

I can't imagine Dio not filling the house. Maybe not a sold out show at a major concert arena by themselves, but pretty darned close.

Where did you see them that only like 300 people showed?

I too think that they should at least play in all 4 time zones. That way at least the die hard fans could see him. That would only be 4 shows. I know I'd drive or even concider flying to see him. I don't care where he is playing in the states next, I am there. I have already warned my husband that it is a done deal.

You can't please all the people all the time. Dio will tour here soon, they never let us down for long. Think of it from the band's point of view, they need SOME downtime, not to mention time to record another great album and to have a family life.
Artists must fill the well of inspiration or risk burnout.
We can't wait either but care enough about the members of Dio as people that we are willing to wait( just not too long).

That is not something anyone knows, except for Dio and I doubt they even know.

I just want them in the US at this point, and am waiting anxiously for an anouncement of a confirmed date for H&H before I get too excited.
