They have a new cd coming out this month and are heading to Germany to play the Bang your head festival with Y&T this summer. They will be here in Atlanta in September for a 5 band show if you are interested in coming let me know. There are new songs on their site so give a listen and lemme know what you think!

No Y&T isn't on the Atlanta bill. There is a list of bands playing the show on their website with all the info. Gonna be a blast tho I promise you that. Leatherwolf can throw down with the best of them. Marshall, you know the boys in Leatherwolf? They have always been good live everytime I have seen them.

They all grew up in Huntington Beach California. My old guitar player Joey went to school with them, Joe actually got them into learning guitar. They opened for Queensryche on the mindcrime tour. The demo they just finished had Eric Martin on vocals. They have been around since 81-82 maybe. Quality music though for sure plus a fun group of people to hang out with. Street Ready got rave reviews and did very well sales wise.

California metallers LEATHERWOLF have lined up the following dates during September:
Sep. 01 - FBI Rock Club - Houston, TX
Sep. 02 - Sam's Burger Joint - San Antonio, TX
Sep. 14 - ProgPower VII (Preparty) - Atlanta, GA
Sep. 22 - The Firehouse - St. George, Utah
Sep. 23 - Tailspin - Las Vegas, NV
The Las Vegas date will feature openers KATAGORY V (Nightmare Records) from Salt Lake City.
LEATHERWOLF's new album, "World Asylum", was mixed by noted Danish knobtwiddler Jacob Hansen (ROB ROCK, COMMUNIC, RAUNCHY) and marks the debut of singer Wade Black (ex-CRIMSON GLORY), guitarist Eric Halpern (ex-DESTINY'S END, HELSTAR), and bassist Pete Perez (RIOT, SPASTIC INK) alongside original members, guitarist Geoff Gayer and drummer Dean Roberts. Two songs off "World Asylum" — "Derailed" and "Dr. Wicked (Rx O.D.)" — have been uploaded at this location.

The new disc rips, also get Street Ready, classic stuff. Had a 3 guitar attack! Any of there stuff is very good.

the show is almost here! Talked to Dean the drummer today and he was gonna send me some swag but I told him to just bring to my house so they can all sign it for me. Man I haven't seen them in years and it is gonna be way cool to go over the good times we had when we were young and both our bands were successful.

California metallers LEATHERWOLF will film a video for the track "Behind the Gun" this weekend. "No big budget production or anything, but it should be cool," the band writes on its web site.
"Behind the Gun" comes off the group's new album, "World Asylum", which was released in June on the band's N.I.L.8 Records label in North America. The CD was mixed by noted Danish knobtwiddler Jacob Hansen (ROB ROCK, COMMUNIC, RAUNCHY) and marks the debut of singer Wade Black (ex-CRIMSON GLORY), guitarist Eric Halpern (ex-DESTINY'S END, HELSTAR), and bassist Pete Perez (RIOT, SPASTIC INK) alongside original members, guitarist Geoff Gayer and drummer Dean Roberts. What an awesome weekend! Leatherwolf OWNED Prog-power! If any of you have the opportunity to see them soon...DO IT!!!! They played all the classics and 4 new tunes. I think my hangover will last a few more days! lol I will post some pics soon!
