Sorry dude, the X Factor is 1 of the most underated albums in all of rock n' roll, Blaze was fan-fucking-tastic, no disrepect to Dio, or Dick Brucington, but Blaze did it right, would not want anyone elese on vocals for this epic album. |
I wasn't so muching slagging the X Factor or Blaze (I'm not going to start a Blaze War on the damn Dio board...) as I was saying how good Ronnie would have sounded singing the songs. I swear, Steve Harris was listening to alot of Sabbath at the time or something... I mean, its still definately a Maiden album through and through, but there is nothing in their catalague as dark and (I dare say) heavy as that one. |

OK the pipedream that will never happen for me.....
Chorus Vocals: RJD and Tony Martin ..I love Bruce but don't see their voice "styles" ( RJD&Bruce) mixing well together for some reason.
Chorus Lead: Dave "Da Vinci fingers" Murray and Kirk Hammet
Bass: Steve
Drums: Clive Burr
Keyboard: Richard Wright _________________ Do not worry about the bullet with your name on it, worry about the one that says, "To whom it may concern.."

I had a silly fantasy that Ronnie and the Heaven and Hellers would have made an amazing album produced by Rick Rubin.
Rick has a way of pulling amazing out of people, especially getting new great stuff out of long established musical acts. Metallica put out their best album since And Justice for All working with Rick.
Alas, just an idea I had entertained. |
