I am gutted that young vocalist Sabine Dünser from Elis has died,
Elis had a bright future and I like many others where waiting for the follow up to the wonderful "Dark Clouds in a Perfect Sky"
Statement from the band,Deeply confused and sad, we have to inform you, that Sabine isn't among us anymore!
While the bands rehearsal on Friday the 7.7.06, Sabine suffered a cerebral haemorrhage on which she died a day later at the hospital!
On regard to the family and friends, we have decided to take the homepage from the net.
We need time now, to decide if and how we approach further and we will not answer any mails at the moment.
Sing with the angels Sabine! We will never forget you!

Yeah that's terrible. So young and sudden. I wonder if she was saved. |

I hope so, too.
I often wonder if our forgiving Lord comes to someone in their last breath and offers His hand. |

yeah a lot of things can happen between the time your breath leaves your body and your soul reaches its destination i.e. GOD which is a very good reason not to judge people by the life they lived while they walked among us. |

Bind all of us together,
Ablaze with Hope and Free,
No storm or heavy weather
Will rock the boat you'll see.
The time has come to close your eyes
And still the wind and rain,
For the one who will be King
Is the Watcher in the Ring.
It is You.
Yeah it says king but this still says it all.........love this song. |

Up the Irons...
I think dying is better than suffering because of a cerebral haemorrhage... _________________ FIRST FRENCH FAN OF

Some lovely comments...from you all,
But I will remember these words by Sabine Dünser from the song Der Letzte Tag[The Last Day].
''On gentle wings the night floats here the last day Dark eyes with soft flapping of wings on gentle wings floats the night closes here the quiet ''
Sorry but my german is not very good.

Nightmare news this is for me....becoz I am a big fan of this band...but the lovely Vibeke must finish her education ...
I just hope its on par with there last cd...''ashes''
Norwegian symphonic metal band TRISTANIA have issued the following update:
"The release of [the new TRISTANIA album] 'Illumination' [originally scheduled for September] is, unfortunately, postponed slightly due to technical reasons. We regret this delay, as we are as impatient as you are to get the album released. Hopefully, our fans will understand that this is something that is outside our control. We will return with a new release date as soon as we know what this will be — and samples from 'Illumination' will be published online in the near future.
"The September tour is cancelled due to outside issues. Vibeke [vocals] will be finishing her education as a teacher, in addition to which she will be working as a teacher while studying. Thus, this makes it difficult for her to do long tours at the moment. Finishing off her education is something she has postponed for a long time due to her duties with TRISTANIA — and she feels it is finally time to do it. We, as a band, are sorry for this cancellation, but promise to return in force when the new album is released."
"Illumination" was recorded at Woodhouse Studios in Hagen, Germany with producer Waldemar Sorychta (LACUNA COIL, TIAMAT, GRIP INC.). Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Sanguine Sky", "Open Ground", "Lotus", "Down" and "Mercyside".
The band had previously stated about the upcoming CD, "True to tradition, we have made an album with a definite and unmistakably Tristanian sound, but which also brings a lot of new and fresh material. The album is another evolutionary step and lets us explore new areas while staying true to our roots. On every track, the moods and elements are plentiful; ranging from doom to industrial, from soothing synthesizer passages to technical metal riffs, from dark ballads to classic goth rock — it's all there. We've used a string quartet on several tracks, which attributed yet another dimension to those songs." |

LACUNA COIL made their much-anticipated return to the U.S. on June 29 as part of this year's Ozzfest main-stage lineup. The massive summer trek coincides with the release of the new single "Enjoy The Silence", which impacted commercial radio this week. The video for the track, completed by the directorial team Fort Awesome, who also shot the group's acclaimed "Our Truth" clip, will also make its U.S. television debut on MTV2's "Headbanger's Ball" this Saturday, July 15 at 10:00 p.m. EST/7:00 p.m. PST.
Since its release, LACUNA COIL's new album, "Karmacode", has sold over 100,000 units, according to Nielsen SoundScan, and spent a total of eight weeks on the Billboard Top 200 chart. The album's success can be partly contributed to the strength of its lead-off single, "Our Truth", and a stellar live performance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" in May. The track was added by over 75 Active Rock and Alternative Radio outlets (and played by well over 125 commercial outlets in all), becoming a Top 30 Active Rock single while spending over 2 1/2 months on the Top 40 Active Rock Radio Chart and reaching a monitored Arbitron audience of over 11 million listeners.
Andrea Ferro (vocals) checks in with the following Ozzfest report: "Ozzfest is well underway and we couldn't be more excited! To play on the main stage is a big challenge for us. The mood is really different from the second stage, and you really have to win over the audience that very often is sitting in a chair waiting to be impressed. The signing sessions at FYE and Jagermeister are always special moments to get closer to the fans that often tell us that they can't afford the seats on main stage and that they watch the show from far away on the lawn. That is true devotion, and we can never thank them enough for the support.
"Last Sunday was one of the most special days we've ever spent on tour and it will be surely the one we will never forget. On that day, our beloved Italy played France in the World Cup final. The tension was at a maximum level for us. Our bus was filled with the DRAGONFORCE guys, their crew, some of the security guys with Italian blood and our friends in UNEARTH (Italian blooded as well) all watchin' the match on satellite. When Italy won, all of us started running around in a triumph of flags and soccer jerseys. We then played our show wearing our national soccer jerseys and with flags on top of the bass speakers. It was a hell of a party. That's it for the moment and we hope to see you all soon."
LACUNA COIL's breakthrough single "Heaven's A Lie", from the acclaimed 2002 album "Comalies", is also currently featured in a summer promotional spot for CBS-TV's "Criminal Minds" program. |
