I'd just like to say I am the third person to vote 'no'. I don't see why I should hide that.
My opinion is that from what I have seen, none of the videos are so amazingly spectacular I would want to pay money to watch them. If I want to hear the song, I will have the CD. I think that promo videos are nice to see once in a while out of curiosity, but not worth the investment. In fact the only metal music video I can think of that I'd like to watch again after seeing it once is 'Perry Mason' by Ozzy. I liked the effects in that. But I wouldn't pay money for it.
The suggestions raised about releasing concerts is a different matter all together. I love to watch live concerts, partly because I like to hear the differences between the live and studio versions. Obviously, these differences aren't there on a promo video.
I'd just like to say though that I don't think it is a bad idea, but I personally am not interested. _________________ Along Came A Spider..... |

| You're right on, Coop. I also voted no. Music videos pretty much inherently suck. There are some exceptions, but Dio's videos don't rise to that. Concerts are another thing. I'd love as much live material as possible to be released. But a collection of promo vids? It'd be a lame product. |

This is a selfish request ....for the dvds of everything ....
Firstly I use a Plasma hanging on the wall, and Dio would be my art hanging up there singing away!
And the 5 in 1 surround speaker system is pretty cool as well! |

I wouldn't really know Bobby. I saw the video once on some website, but the quality was so poor the video didn't really run correctly. It looked more like a slideshow, and it also kept re-loading. It sounds like a cool video since Dehumanizer is a serious album. No cheesy stuff on this one. |

Never mind. I just saw it on youtube.com. It's a really cool video. I really like the band being on that little television. It's a nice touch. One of the best videos I've seen. |

Holymagica, I'm surprised that you are "demanding" the videos. But, good idea I think. I like promotional videos all on one dvd as it is a good way to view an overview of someone's entire career, either the progression or regression. Iron Maiden's is kick ass, except that a lot of their promotional videos are of them on a stage. And try to avoid "Virus" as it will give you a seizure. I think DIO would be a great compilation. _________________ Sit on it, Potsie. |
