I think it's quite obvious many of us on here have similar musical interests, but let's see what we are all buying. We may surprise each other.
To start with, list your 2 previous CD purchases. Then, each time you buy a new one, post that too. Feel free to give some sort of opinion or make any comments, if you feel they may help others find something new.
Here are my last 2 purchases:
1) Circulus - The Lick On The Tip Of An Envelope Yet To Be Sent
This is best described I suppose as psychedelic medieval folk. Very happy with this.
2) Nina Hagen - Nunsexmonkrock/Nina Hagen Band EP
Two albums in one. About half is very bizarre punk-ish rock. The other half is quite atmospheric, but not particularly interesting. Some really good stuff, but overall I was a little disappointed.
I have another CD on order... but you'll have to wait a few days! _________________ Along Came A Spider..... |

Excellent idea, great way to find new bands, and such.
My latest two are:
1.) Morrissey - Ringleader of the Tormentors
Wasn't too pleased with the album, it's just not as flowing, for lack of a better word. I do admit though, the album has begun to grow on me, give me a month and I'll probably love it. I don't recommend it to someone just starting to listen to Morrissey, but it's a must have in a collection.
2.) Demons and Wizards - Touched by the Crimson King
Buy it now, I order you to!
Haha, my taste in music is so strange. _________________ you put your hope into the sky

My latest CD purchases were Holy Diver Live, and Dehumanizer. I consider myself luck to have found Dehumanizer. I live in a town pretty much out in the middle of nowhere, between L.A. and Vegas. So not much stuff gets here. Most of the shipments go to bigger towns or cities. Even so, I need more Dio music to listen to. I can't wait for the new album to come out! |

This is gonna be a nightmare from me ,even I can't keep track of all the cds that I buy,but I will give it a go!
1.Leaves Eyes-Legend Land
This is a mini cd,with the breakout success of Vinland Saga cd,Legend Land features 6 new tracks which are brand new and exclusive, this is a limited edition, and just to tide the fans over to the release of there 3rd cd later this year!Leaves Eyes singer Liv Kristine Espenæs Krull is at her very best on this cd,its very atmospheric and powerful and flows well from Vinland Saga,Vinland Saga was about the Vikings finding North America and the epica journey they would make and the loved ones they would leave behind you will only like if you are a fan of Female fronted metal, there video clip is from Vinland Saga,''Elegy''to give you small taste of what to expect, fans of Nightwish,Within Temptation and After Forever will love this mini cd.

PS.Guitar Solos Bobby!!
2.Sisters of Mercy-Floodland
This was the last Vinyl record I bought in 1987...so I was really happy to replace it onto cd!This is industrial goth from a great british band from the 80s,
with classics like "Dominion/Mother Russia","This Corrosion","1959","Lucretia My Reflection", Floodland is probably the band's most cohesive and accessible album. This cd has some the great bass guitar....so take a blast back to the 1980s,the clips are-

OK my latest purchase arrived this morning.
The Misunderstood - 'Before The Dream Faded'
Blues based psychedelia which predates Hendrix and Pink Floyd. Truly these guys were innovators. They didn't last long, but judging from the quality of this CD I think they would have had a good career.
Half the disk is from 1967 and is psychedelic rock. The second half is more RnB based, and dates from 1965. Good stuff. Reminds me of Love in places, very early Hawkwind in others, some early Alice Cooper in there too (although of course, The Misunderstood predates all of them!)
All this from Amazon.co.uk for...... £3.99!!! _________________ Along Came A Spider..... |

This is right topic for me, I have real bad addiction to buy CDs... It just happens, you know
Latest CD I buy was
DIO- Angry Machines
Not Dio's greatest albums but there is great moments in this cd too... my favourite is definetly This is your life
and before that I bought
TAROT- The Spell of Iron
Debut album from one of the greatest and oldest Finnish heavy metal bands. Singer Marco Hietala is nowadays better known from Nightwish... _________________ "Vaikka totuus ja valhe vaihtelevat

I have the Suffer Our Pleasures album. Good stuff, although I don't seem to be able to find the other ones . Is The Spell Of Iron a similar style, or have Tarot evolved over the years? _________________ Along Came A Spider..... |
