That's because there are no Electric Elves albums. Elf cut the first albums (except for Dio at Domino's). However, RD's early groups cut some 45's such as Amber Velvet, West Virginia (I think) and Mr. Lonely (again, I think). There may be more. Not sure of the flip sides.

www.dio.net

This site is very imformative....I found all the 45's that date back to the Ronnie and the Rumbler days.....I would pay a nice amount for any of them....

If i had to pick any of them though....I would take the Dio at Dominos record.....

I would love to know how Ronnies voice sounded back then...

I love how I am able to hear Dio's earth-shattering screams on songs like "I" and "Holy Diver" and hear the grooves from his earlier bands.

I have a question for all dio fans.

A friend of mine insists that in the middle 60's dio had a band called "New Elvis". Does anyone knows if that's true?

It's not true.
I have a lot of magazines (someone very old too) with interview to Ronnie James Dio because I love collecting Dio rarities and he hasn't ever talked about New Elvis.
Moreover, I got the official biography of Ronnie James Dio written by his 80's photographer Piergiorgio Brunelli (infact in the poster that was included with the 45" of "Hungry For Heaven" there's written "Photo by P.G. Brunelli", and on the "Sacred Heart DVD" too there are a lot of photos by P.G. Brunelli) and there are written all the bands of Ronnie since the very first years and he hasn't ever been on "New Elvis".
About the earlier stuff of Ronnie I got all his recordings and it's cool listening to some popular songs of 50 years ago sung by Ronnie James Dio (like "Love Potion N. 9", famous even for the Heavy version of Tygers Of Pan Tang 20 years later...). If you're a fan of Ronnie James Dio and you love collecting everything concerning him you really have to find this stuff!

although the name "New Elvis" sounds like elves but its not likely that this ever happened, nevertheless we cant be so sure Mr. Dio kept some parts of his career with electric elves obscured
