Do you have Master of the Moon?.....if not why do you not have it in your collection.....I was listening to this great cd again....and I must say....its just brillant work from the band....in Stargazer's poll a few weeks ago....it came 7th....which really surprised me....maybe its becoz I was lucky enough to hear a couple tracks live....that I have such affection for the cd....I seem to play it more and more than the older stuff....most of Dio's stuff is classic metal....but I like what Dio is saying in those songs and the message...he is sending out on Master of the Moon....this cd is very unrated....and should not be....its pure first class Metal at its best...and Goldy plays some of best work on it if you ask me....the solos and riffs....I adore the solo on ''Living The Lie''...And Dio singing on this cd....is outstanding!
So what are your thoughts? |

It was the second CD of his I got, the first being Evil or Divine, and at first I found it mediocre, but the more I listened to it the more I grew to love it. Shivers is an extremely good song, so to is The Eyes. I always set my MP3 player to shuffle, and when it comes to a MotM song I never find myself disappointed. I can't wait until his next album. _________________ you put your hope into the sky

Yes piracy_of_life that is exactly what I do. You know, I think that perhaps the only problem with this CD is the track running order. I always seem to prefer it when I listen to it with the tracks on random, as opposed to listening to it straight. _________________ Along Came A Spider..... |

| Master of the Moon is OK, there are a few decent songs like the title track and the Man who Would Be King. I was dissapointed with this album. |

| Honest Truth - i have heard so much negative vibes over the album i havent bought it. That it was too slow, that it wasnt as good as Killing the Dragon (which i do have) etc, etc. My own opinions on this were influenced a bit by the 1 song they played off the album on the Greatest Hits Tour in 2004 - I DIDNT LIKE IT, it do anything for me. Also, i thought the album cover is crap. All in all, i didnt buy for those reasons. |

I think its better than Killing the Dragon.....just talking about Ronnie James Dio here and not Craig or Doug.....I think the songs are better written...I love the lyrics.....and Dio vocals are brillant on it....maybe slower...but its still got that special Dio sound...only he can create. |

It's a good album. Light years better than
Ozzy's DTE. At this point in their careers
Dio has not disappointed his fans and
brings quality metal to new young fans. _________________ Voodoo |

| its an album that takes at least 10 listens before it catches you, then its good. I know the rcord company were putting pressure on the band to get it finished and i think this shows as after track 6 it goes downhill IMO. There are some very innovative riffs on it though specially 'shivers' |

Any idea of how long it took in the studio?.....even for rushed work...I think its great.....my first listen was with headphones on....at full blast....I was hooked right away...but I understand what you are saying about 10 plays. |

You didn't buy the album because you didn't like the cover artwork? um.... _________________ Sit on it, Potsie. |

I asked craig goldy how long it took and he said a long, long while and they had to keep asking the record company for more time. |
