| Have you ever listened to the group "Astral Doors"? They're very good and the try to emulate Dio... the singer has a great voice too... his voice is very similar to the voice of Tony Martin... they produced 3 albums (Of The Son and the Father; Evil Is Forever and another album... but I can't remember the name). |

Very good Band!
At first they sounded like a mix of Sabbath/Dio/Rainbow,
but more and more they go their own way!
They are on tour with Blind Guardian over Europe .
I guess I´ll watch them! _________________ No more night-I´ve seen the light

Astralsim is a really great album. In my opinion it's better than both their previous albums, and that's saying something because Evil Is Forever is a really good album. _________________ Weird thoughts that don't work,

I just reviewed Astral Door's "AStralism" on the 80's forum, and it lacked in several areas for me. The vocals were, odd, he has a perfect singing voice which you can hear on "Apocalypse Revealed" briefly (sounds Dio-ish), but the rest of the album mostly consists of a deep growl-ish vocla work. The drums are swallowed up as well in the mix. If you want to read the entire review, go here:

My overall grade is: 3.625 out of 5 _________________

You just don't understand the genius that is Nils Patrik Johansson. _________________ Weird thoughts that don't work,
