Which reunion would you most like to see happen??
1. Elf
2. Black Sabbath
3. Rainbow
After thinking carefully, I think I would like to see Black Sabbath with Dio the most, then Rainbow, then Elf. But I'd go out of my way to see any one of the three.
Would you rather see Dio with his stuff, a blend of all of these songs, or one of those other groups in particular?
I really like that Dio plays some music from those other groups in his show. I'd be curious to know what his regular set list is these days.

Great topic, as it changes for me from one week to the next. While an Elf reunion would be cool, I'd LOVE a Rainbow or Sabbath reunion. In the end, my choice is Rainbow. There is an unmatched magic that Ritchie and Ronnie had together.
Speaking of Elf, how about Rock Feinstein as the next Dio guitarist??? Hmmmmmmm..........................

I'll say Elf for two reasons: the Elf material is never played anymore, and it is very underrated, including by Ronnie. However, I saw an interview which said he had been in contact with Elf members and that a future reunion is possible.
Second, I think a Rainbow reunion is very unlikely, with Richie doing Blackmores Night and Sabbath is with Ozzy right now.
All would be welcome, but for the moment I think Ronnie should be concentrating on Dio. he has always said that right now it's his main priority.

...this was a very hard decision for me...I chose Sabbath...as they hold the most memories for me...& Tony Iommi has allways been true to his fans...I love Rainbow & ELF!!!...but Ritchie has turned his back on us for years...with Deep Purple,Rainbow & so on...he has been totally reclusive!...I dont know...it just seems that way to me...  ...there was the two albums with Purple back in the 80's...& Stone Cold...  ...Bring back Live Evil!!!...& who said "Rock Feinstein"???...this would be an outstanding choice for DIO's Guitarist!...But I still say..."Twin Axe Attack!"...

I actually don't want a reunion, I want DIO to stay with his own band!

Rainbow definetily, its the band i grew up with as a kid and stargazer is my favourite song of all time. I would love to see Dio and Ritchie back together again

You took the words right out of my mouth, err fingers! I'd like to see, although I know he said it is impossible, more from Elf just becuase it is so different from everything else he's done, and I love blues based rock. Even though it won't happen, I would like to see him release some Elf-like material on his own. It'll never happen though. |
