What do you think that is the best album-opener?
I think it's 'Stand Up And Shout' _________________ See the stars come falling down from the sky

Tuff choice for me between "Stand Up And Shout" and "Jesus, Mary & the Holy Ghost." _________________ Jesus saith unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life; he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live; And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. |

| We Rock is my favorite, but many of these could be chosen. |

All great openers. I was tempted to go for Jesus Mary and the Holy Ghost or Institional Man, but it had to be stand up and shout the first ever Dio opener. _________________ The Rat Monkey_Story has it the rats came off the slave boats and went on Skull Island and raped all the Tree Monkeys!!! |

| I would love to hear "Wild One" as an opener, but don't think Dio will ever play it again , you never know though I've been surprised before. |

Even though Sacred Heart is far from being my favorite Dio album, I chose King of Rock n Roll. I don't really care for Stand up and Shout or We Rock, they just don't have a melody that sticks in my head. I was tempted to vote for Killing the Dragon (wicked song) , but I don't like it as an opening track, I think Push would have been a better opening track. Overall, King of RnR is a cool opening song to an album or concert, and the guitar solo is sweet! _________________ http://knightstallion.sitesled.com/ |

It's a tough choice, but I chose King of Rock n Roll cos he made it sound live and live recordings always seem to me to have more, um, life But Killing the Dragon is good too.
If it was a poll with all of Dio's bands, I would've chosen Rainbow's Tarot Woman. It's just classic and it builds up rather than just launching straight in with a riff. _________________ Y Ddraig Goch

We rock is one of Dio`s best songs if you ask me, the power and magic the song provide is just stunning. This as an opener is genious.

Very difficult.
We Rock, King Of Rock N' Roll, or Killing The Dragon.
We Rock suits more as a concert closer, so I'd go with either of the latter, probablt KORN'R since I saw them open with it last year.
As for non-Dio, I think Tarot Woman is the absolute best opener.
I'd love to see them open with Kill The King. |

Discovery sucks (just a bunch of weird sounds), but if you count Discovery/Magica Theme, that's where my vote would go. As it is, I'd say Night People is my favorite opener. Lots of great songs though. Dio just doesn't put bad songs on his albums, especially not the openers. _________________ Weird thoughts that don't work,
