Everyone has their own pinion about LUTW. I have some dislikes myself, however, none of it about the music, which I enjoyed.
My beef is with the arrangement of the tracks (Thank you shuffle button).
It starts of with Wild One which is an excellent song. I thought it would set the pace for the album early on.
I was wrong.
Between two hearts so emotional and a song some of us can relate to. The title track is of course one of the best songs here...
I thought My Eyes was better, he makes reference to his entire career up to that point.
"I've seen it from Heaven and Hell,
Seen it from the eyes of a stargazer!"
Why are they watching me (paranoia like in The Eyes ) and Walk on Water also deserve an honorable mention \m/
Again, not what I expected, but I was pleased |

I've enjoyed LUTW, since it's initial release. I always thought it was a good solid addition to Ronnie's catalog. A VERY underatted album. My favs are B2H, LUTW, and Evil on Queen Street.. _________________ Calcitra Clunis |

I've never listen to that song in LUTW, I just avoid it, never actually listened to this song the whole way through
I guess I can try it again |

Another cd I dislike. Not on the level of Angry Machines, but still LUTW just seems forced. You can't just ''get a guitarist'' and make a Dio record, that what this seems like. It's just empty and lacks the certain spark that makes Dio, Dio. I like 3 or 4 tracks tops, but even those remind me of the sub par production and empty direction.
Step One: Get a painting for the cover
Step Two: Get a young gunslinger guitarist
Step Three: The lead off song must be fast
Step Three: Title song must try and be the center piece even if it's uninteresting.
Step Four: Songs must have the words, fire, eyes, hearts, sun, night in them at all costs...
Sound harsh? Sorry, just another opinion:) |

I'm not a big fan of this album, but there are a few underrated songs on this CD. I agree with you: The person who sequenced this album should be slapped. The order is God awful.
Great songs that rarely get a mention (although I'm glad a few people mentioned these songs earlier): "Between Two Hearts," "Wild One," "Hey Angel" and one of Dio's best songs, if I say so myself: "My Eyes."
Overall, disappointing. Hey, nobody's perfect! I say we cut Ronnie a break, since he's more than made up for this album... |

the early nineties was not a creative time for ronnie(dehumanizer apart)..LUTW is a duffer IMO and did dio some harm publicity wise, many music journalists were beginning to think that ronnie had lost his magic...

I too love this album, it seems to me that the ones I always hear the worst about (i.e. LUTW, Angry Machines, Magica) always seem to be my favorites. _________________ Luke Offield

Although LUTW isn't among the top DIO albums it isn't all bad!!! I like songs like "Born on the sun" and the title track a lot!
I do however prefer the next DIO album, Strange highways. _________________ "They'll tell you black is really white. The moon is just the sun at night. It's Heaven & Hell!" |

I love this album, but it does have my least favorite Dio song of all time......"Evil on Queen Street".......well that and of course "Shoot Shoot" was no gem.
Someone posted that Evil was one of their favorite tracks. Perhaps I need to listen to it more?? _________________ How can I get through to you that wishes just come true.........In Dreams.......... |

| I like this cd, Songs like Wild One, Why Are they Watching Me, LUTW, My Eyes, Between Two Hearts are true gems. I wish they would've recorded another album with Rowan at the helm. |

Underrated album i think. it's pre Dehumanizer work and there you hear that Dio bring to Sabbath in 1991-1992. I love all songs except Hey Angel & Night Music - not best songs, but not bad as Shoot Shoot and Fallen Angel IMO. Many songs is one of greates Dio songs:
Wild One
Born On The Sun
Between Two Hearts
Lock Up The Wolves
Evil On Queen Street
Walk On Water
Why Are They Watching Me
My Eyes
god guitar work, but arrangments sometimes too young - i think it's because for that gut it was first work _________________ One day the the sun will die and night will crawl ; - )

| Like with Sacred Heart, LUTW is one of those albums that I just can't understand why people are so quick to trash. The only thing people seem to not like about it is that it is "too slow." Yes, it is on the slower side, but it's also very heavy. It's different, but the songwriting, production and musicianship are just as good as the first 4 albums. |
