All THREE are masterpieces - as is the ON STAGE opus - but, in my view, the DEBUT has the most variety & the most emotion.
The solo in "Temple of the King" is Blackmore's SHINING MOMENT! |

| i would go with the first album, nothing beats temple of the king, if you dont like rock and roll, and catch the rainbow. and after that, i couldnt decide between rising or long live rock and roll, id probably go with rising, although it doesnt have rainbow eyes...so... eh they're all great |

Rainbow on Stage!!!!
This is the best Rock n Roll cd in history. I have listened to this CD over 10,000 times and its still fresh. Cozy Powell drumming is so powerfull. Dio vocals are so strong. Last but not least Richie Blackmore's guitar playing on this CD is unbelivable. Every Blackmore sole takes you on an amazing journey. Just crank up "Catch The Rainbow". Dio, Powell & Blackmore together were the best Trio in Rock n Roll.

If you don't have this CD buy it now!!! |

Well, it is difficult to choose one of the three records, as they are for me the best of Rainbow. Indeed, I found the band less interesting after that Dio left Rainbow.
Anyway, I will choose RITCHIE BLACKMORE'S RAINBOW.Why?First of all, it is the first one. Then , I like MAN ON THE SILVER MOUNTAIN, SELF PORTRAIT AND THE TEMPLE OF THE KINGS which are great songs. Finally, as I also like The YARDBIRDS, the first time I listened to this album I was very impressed by the band's version of STILL I'M SAD.Ritchie Blackmore is a great guitarist! _________________ And a lady in white will bring sun to the night brighter than ever before.

Defo "Rising". There's nothing that comes even remotely close to this one.
