On July 12th at Ace's in Elyria OH the Memorial/Benefit Concert to Honor the Memory of Guitarist Bryan L Johnson will take place. Many Musicians and Bands are lining up to be a part of the Event. I will post more news as I have it. I am planning on performing in some fashion, I'm just not sure about what I will do at this point. I may put together a band for the show, or sit in with an existing band, again I'm not sure at this point. However it will be the first Hard Rock/HeavyMetal show I have played in 15 yrs. I've always said it would take something really special to bring me back, and I believe this is that special occassion. I am also going to try and have the Sessions album pressed and ready to go for the show. Of course it will also be available at the Diskfaktoryjams site at that time as well. _________________ Check out Al Diamond Phillips/Nevermet on the web

Very touching. Its always hard to watch such graphic war scenes, especially when you know the the real event was probably ten times worse. _________________ Check out Al Diamond Phillips/Nevermet on the web

For anyone interested in helping me nail down the New Years Eve Booking please take this quick survey. It doesnt really matter if you can actually attend, what is important is that we dont let the DJ's of the world push any more Rock Bands out of Gigs.
here is the link, it takes less than a minute to do

Thanks

Done.. The comment I left said I would rather hear a decent local band over the world's greatest DJ any day... _________________ http://ladyrock.informe.com/ |

With the Holidays coming up, I wanted to reflect on the Christmas show I did for 5 seasons, The show was a Rock based Christmas show, and I have many recordings from the era. Some of the songs have stories behind them, and I would like to tell them. I will be posting 1 song per day until Christmas. The first is The Little Drummer Boy. When I decided to add this song to the show, I originally thought of the Bob Seger version of the song, since I am from Detroit. When I mentioned it, the guys were on board, Tim Strelau (Drummer) even brought in Snare that strapped to his shoulder to play during the tune. However, we just couldnt get past the fact that 2000 years ago, there were no snare drums, so if you were the real Drummer boy, you would probably be playing a drum made from wood, and animal hide. Tim had an idea to do more of a tribal drum pattern in the song, and the rest just took off. This was the second year for the show, and the first year I used live music. So we werent really prepared to record live, but the soundman, hooked up a cassette recorder, basically to go back and check his own work by listening to the playback. It turned out to be an incredible recording, and I have used this version over the multi track version ever since. This song has always been special to ome, and I hope everyone enjoys it http://www.reverbnation.com/aldiamondphillips _________________ Check out Al Diamond Phillips/Nevermet on the web
