i wish this dvd was released on Region 2 , as i know its only availble on Region 1 from amazon usa , i actually went to see this same show at the Hammersmith Odeon in 1986 , & it was the first time i ever see Dio play Live , so it would good to have some film footage from the actual Scared Heart Tour , i actually think the Scared Heart album was under minded by some critics , & think its one of Dio,s best albums .

I bought this from the old Dio store and had a friend re-record it as region free for me.

It was my very first Dio show and this DVD really shows the experience....however the one thing I would like is for the whole show to have been captured. The Keyboard Solo on this tour was simply amazing and I really wish the whole show could be released, alas back when this was produced edited shows on VHS were the rage - I would love to find out that the entire concert is sitting somewhere and will soon be released! Now that would be amazing!

I would very much like to see "Dio - A Special from the Spectrum"
released on DVD/blu-ray. This was a great show. As far as I know it was only released on VHS tape which I have but on DVD would be much more desirable.

It is on dvd.....it was released on the we rock dvd along with the show from holland. I think it is slightly edited from the original vhs but can be sure.

But its out there on dvd right now!

Yes you're right. I had forgotten about the We Rock DVD but I would like to have the full unedited version on DVD. Too much good material is missing from We Rock.

As far as Sacred Heart, does anyone know if it was ever recorded on video with Vivian Campbell? Someone posted in a forum that they had heard that it was but it was never released because of the fallout between Ronnie and Viv. I was at the Spectrum when it was recorded with Craig but I don't remember seeing any cameras the first time around with Viv unless it was recorded somewhere else. I'm thinking it's just nothing but a rumor. Personally I thought the first show with Viv was the better of the two and if there was a recording it would be great to see.

That would be interesting if the other version is out there, I personally do not have this yet as it is just about impossible to find, hoping Niji will rerelease it sometime soon.

There IS a Dvd with Vivian Campbell playin´ Sacred Heart.
It´s the Super Rock Festival - Dvd

It´s very good and has the classic Line-up but ...
...NO DRAGON!
It was a Festival so they had a empty stage - only Amps.
Running time about 60 min. and I read that this was the whole Show uncut.

Unfotunately it is not a complete legal Dvd, but it´s sold by amazon...
In the News-Section you can read that R.J.D. planed a legal release for this...

BTW there are two dvd with this cocert :
DIO - Super Rock ... Masterplan MP42105 (very good Quality,60 min.)
DIO - The Legend Live blueline Dvd5042 (Bad Quality only 30 min.)

I had heard about the Super Rock show being released, but didn't know it was on the Sacred Heart tour, I'm sure it's still in the works, so we'll see it in due time.
