Big News for Jeffrey

As you know, the Dio Disciples band is planning to tour with Ripper Owens. I have been working with the band while Craig Goldy had other obligations. I have been playing guitar since I was a teenager in the 1980s, and know all of the Dio songs very well.

I never expected much to come from the time with the band; the experience from working with these fine musicians was well worth the time and effort I have been putting into helping them prepare for their tour after so much time apart. They are truly dedicated to their art and to the music of Dio. I knew my partnership with the band would be temporary and would have to leave when Craig returned.

As luck would have it, Craig cannot return to the band as he expected. Other obligations of him producing bands are leaving me as the touring guitarist for Dio Disciples this summer. Not sure if I will be here in the states after the UK tour, but keep an eye out for me if you catch a show.

If this story seems too good to be true, remember it is April Fools Day. Well, some of the story is not true. The part about me being their guitarist, I made up. But they are going to tour, and I will be there, but in the audience. Happy April Fools Day.

Glad to have some folks posting again, even got a smile from old Oli! Makes me feel better over here. Am I not as alone as I thought? Is there anyone alive out there?

Hamalane and Oli, do they have April Fools jokes in other countries? I don't know if it is an American thing or not.

Oli, I think I saw a new black and white picture of you somewhere. Took me a while to figure it out, but after careful inspection, I see a resemeblence.

Yeah, we do play tricks to other people, and you generally don't want to trust the newspapers too much because you never know. Wink

It's been a while since I've last done anything, mostly because I live alone.

Back when I was 7 or 8 it was quite fun though, we'd make paper fish and stick them in someone's back without them knowing of it, the funniest being when you could stick one in a teacher's back of course.

Hi

The UK does a very good job of April Fools Day....lots of major organisations play tricks on people. BMW had an advert in todays paper for a BMW WiLL to commerorate the royal wedding, lots of funny stuff in the add and an email address which made me laugh 'Paulineyourleg@bmw.co.uk'.

Jeffrey - yup changed my pic as I had my hair all cut off for charity a year ago but never put up a new shot........the one on here is from a promo for my new band Babylon's Void.

Good to hear from you. Nice story about BMW, haven't seen any jokes here in our part of USA, other than the above Dio story I wrote.
