Olivious the Drummer asked me to post this note for him , as he is still banned from the forum. He is a moderator on here with me, and I miss his input and help here. Hopefully he can come back soon. This is the 10th anniversary of Dio's death today.
As I cant post in the Dio Forum (due to my ongoing ban) I would just like to say that it is 10 months today since Ronnie left this earth and I still feel grief for it.
It has been a personal grief, one which I feel I need to mark each month until the one year anniversary - then I shall finally let it go.
Ronnie was my hero......there will never be a more influential person. His music took me through the most inportnat years of my life and taught me so much.
Heres to Ronnie James Dio - the greatest.

To Oli
I feel the same way about Ronnie - it is so hard to put it into words. I hardly ever talk about it now but my grief for Ronnie is still very real - why did he have to go, we loved him so much.
I can't understand all this business of banning people. We are all adults and 'heavy metal' fans for goodness sake - supposedly an intelligent and very tolerant, open-mined, un-shockable group of people. We should be able to cope with anything that gets posted - if it is offensive we can just ignore it or choose to argue the point - it's no big deal.
Maybe it's because I am British that I feel this way - unlike another country that shall remain unnamed we don't tend to homogenise everything until nobody has original thought processes on any subject at all - or if they do they don't speak out in case they are judged to be 'not nice'. Maybe that's why Ronnie actually preferred to be in Europe.
Anyway - in loving memory of Ronnie James Dio, always loved, always remembered. |

I miss Ronnie every day.
And I miss Oli, but he is still with us, but unable to share here.
I thought his banning was temporary. NOw that the HolyMagica
trouble is more in the past, I think it would be all right to have
him come back as a moderator and contributor.
Any other votes to bring back Oli?
