While the The Official Forum for Ronnie James Dio ™ is intended to be a virtual space for the open exchange of ideas and experiences, we do have a few simple rules that we ask our users to abide by:

1.Be considerate and fair. Feel free to engage in a spirited discussion or disagree with other participants; however, avoid "flaming," creating posts that attack individuals (members and non-members), companies, or organizations. The Official Forum for Ronnie James Dio ™ reserves the right, but assumes no obligation, to remove any user-generated content that includes bigotry, racism, sexism, or hatred; promotes illegal activity or physical harm to anyone; and is harassing, libelous, abusive, vulgar, offensive, threatening, obscene, or otherwise objectionable. If you feel the need to strongly criticize an individual, a company, or an organization, do so in the forums that require you to log in and identify yourself -- not in the Dio Fans Topic.
2. You are responsible for your posts. We don't use profanity filters, but we do ask that you refrain from using profane, obscene, intolerant, or abusive language. You are responsible for the content of your messages, and you may be liable for negligent, knowing, or willful misconduct, as well as damages arising from these actions. Do not be a troll: do not post, transmit, or link to malware or other material that is libelous, illegal, defamatory, fraudulent, harmful, threatening, or in violation of others' property or privacy rights.
3. No Spamming. Ever. Message boards and billboards are two different things. Please refrain from posting advertisements, promotional materials, or any other forms of solicitation for goods or services. In no part of the forums are you allowed to post spam or promote or offer any goods or services for sale. This includes promotional statements about your company or organization, as well as advertisements for free services or products made within the context of another message; community members will determine what constitutes spam. You should also be warned that overly enthusiastic endorsements of any product (whether or not the author is affiliated with the vendor) may be flagged as spam by our moderators. If you wish to lessen your risk of being flagged as a spammer, you may post a disclaimer stating that you are not affiliated with a company or service. You are also forbidden to contact users off board to promote your services. If you have been asked by a Dio moderator to refrain from a particular posting behavior and you ignore these warnings, your account will be terminated.
4. The world is watching. To protect your privacy and the privacy of others, please exercise caution when posting any personally identifiable information about yourself or a third party. This includes your username and password, which should be protected and not shared with any other individual. Sharing personal information about fellow Form members beyond what is provided by the member in their user profile is prohibited.
5. Think before you click that link. The Official Forum for Ronnie James Dio ™ is not responsible for the transmission of any viruses, worms, or other forms of malware that you acquire from visiting external links posted on our message boards.
6. Copyright laws apply to the Web. Do not post any material that is protected by copyright unless you are the copyright holder or have the copyright holder's permission. However, you may make fair use of copyrighted material by quoting limited passages of text, provided you credit the author.
7. Edit your message. We do not edit messages before they are posted to the message boards. Please preview your message (using the Preview Message button) before you post it to ensure that it makes sense to others.
8. No shouting. While they may be fun and exciting to write messages in all capital letters, they are NOT FUN TO READ.
9. Stay on topic. We respectfully remind everyone that this is. please only post questions that relate to topic.
10. No duplicate posting. Please refrain from posting duplicate messages or questions in more than one forum.
11. Be yourself. Please avoid choosing a username with the explicit intention of impersonating another individual; doing so is grounds for removal from this community.
12. Report abuse. Members can report any violations of the Community Rules & Standards by sending a private message or email to an administrator or forum host or by reporting the problem to the Admin.

Non-Compliance to Rules
A three strike system is in effect for any user failing to fully comply with the rules:
First Offence: A warning.
Second Offence: Individual forum or forum-wise suspension.Which can last up to a Month.
Third Offence: A permanent site-wide ban.
In servere cases the offender may be banned before making 3 offences.If you have a problem with any particular user(s), send a PM to one of the moderators and they will look into the problem. Please do not contact moderators or staff about petty squabbles.

Rules of Conduct
Treat Fellow Posters with Respect and Courtesy - Always.
No Piracy - No discussion of how to illegally obtain copyrighted material or links to websites promoting subversion of copyright.You can talk about Bootlegs but any posts about how to get hold of these bootlegs will not be allowed.
No Posting of Personal Contact Information - For your safety, no public posting of any personal contact information is permitted.
No Flaming or posting of material intended to start a flame war.If you have concerns please private message me or a Mod.

Primary Rules
No Trolling - Do not post comments in threads with the sole purpose to cause an argument. You are free to express your opinion on a matter, but this is not the place to abuse anyone who doesn't have the same opinion as you. Repeat trolling will result in a ban.
No Abusive Posts - Be nice to each other. Anyone who is found to be abusive to another member will be banned at the Admin' discretion.
No Obscenity - This is a family friendly forum - do not post any obscene messages or pictures, including pornography. Doing so may result in an instant ban.
No Commercial Posts without prior authorisation from Niji
No Impersonation of Other Users.
No All Caps - This is seen as rude. Please don't do it.
No Excessive Bumping - If people want to reply to your thread they will do. Please don't post repeatedly in your own thread to bump it. You may make a bumping post if 24 hours has past and your topic has received no reply.
No Large Pictures in Signatures - A few words are fine, or an image.

What language can I post in?
All posts must be made in English, or contain an adequate translation into English of any text written in another language. Posts that are solely in a language other than English, or which have an inadequate or ambiguous English translation of any Non-English content will be edited or removed.

Gossip/Scandal
If you want the latest gossip on Heavy Metal scandals and who is misbehaving THIS IS NOT THE PLACE for you.
This is not the News of the World or National Enquirer.
You are asked not to make posts or make topics about the DIO band members or their families,this goes for anyone part of the DIO Family, this also goes for everyone at Niji Entertainment Group.
I will not allow false and malicious naming and shaming or libellous posts.
Experience has shown that the best way of preventing large numbers of a particular type of post, is to not allow ANY of that type of post. This is not a policy of censorship but self-preservation.

All enquiries about deleted posts must be put directly to the moderators via Private Message,All forum posts enquiring about deleted posts will be removed.

If someone goes to the trouble of posting a constructive reply to your request for assistance, make the effort to say thank you. Not only is this good netiquette but it helps to ensure that people will be as willing to assist others in future - including yourself.

It is good practice to include a direct reference to the content of your post in the subject header. Generic headers such as "I need help!" really aren't of much help to anyone. A concise, appropriate subject header is much more likely to get you the response you seek.

Any posts containing links or references to pages or websites which are, in the estimation of the moderators, likely to cause offence or be in breach of UK law may also be removed.

Posters going to the trouble of using an anonymous proxy normally have only one intention - to stir things and cause trouble. So as they become known to us, we will block them.
