I love the tune Lock up the wolves, however I haven't figured out who or what the "wolves" are in the meaning? _________________ There's Truth in Silence |

| According to some other sites (and a few own guesses) the wolves are supposed to be the people who starts war, the spirit of war etc. So the whole song could bassicaly be about the message of trying to avoid war before it breaks out. |

the way i saw it the first time i heard the song is that the wolves are the evil side of someone so you must lock it up...so it could be war hehe...
anyway, it's such a great album indeed...brilliant |

Yeah, I love this one also. This is the first one I bought, although I've heard his music before. I fell in love with it and LUTW has to be my favorite. I like the chorus part the way it builds up, but it just finishes. I wished it were a little longer. I've recently just started listening to again, the Stange Highways album. Damn, it's hot!

ROWAN ROBERTSON To Perform Entire 'Lock Up The Wolves' Album In Norway
Rowan Robertson (DC4, ex-DIO) will take part in a special Ronnie James Dio tribute concert with QUEENSTOWN on January 21 at Verdens Teateret in Sandefjord, Norway. He says, "This gives me the chance to play some of these great songs live and visit Norway before the new DC4 CD is released. I am looking forward to it!"
QUEENSTOWN consists of:
* Rowan Robertson (DIO, DC4) - Guitar
* Patrik Johansson (ASTRAL DOORS, LION'S SHARE) - Vocals
* Are Gogstad (PAUL DI'ANNO, RIPPER OWENS, A.S.C.) - Bass
* Rick Hagan (PAUL DI'ANNO, RIPPER OWENS, 21ST CENTURY ROX)- Drums
QUEENSTOWN will play the entire DIO "Lock Up The Wolves" CD live, along with other DIO classics, as well as RAINBOW and BLACK SABBATH songs. Rowan will also participate in a few guitar clinics and other events. |

I really want to be there too.
I think the lineup of DIO at this time should be the best or second best.
Rowan's play is amazingly great and Ronnie's voice was quite good and smooth expecially in high tone and at his top condition at this tour.
I really wanted them to continue DIO with this members.
I am also really interested in their new album which was going to be released in 1991!
But I'm sure that Rowan loves Ronnie and band DIO still now. _________________ ☆Tell me lies as long as it's not about love☆ |

my favourite DIO album next to LiL and HD, there's no weak song on it, fantastic lyrics and guitar work, for me Lock up the wolves is the best Ronnie's vocal performance in DIO band... _________________ So live for today
