Its not very often a member of my forum is killed but I am really sad about the news that Nicci DeSoto, lead vocalist of FALLING TO PIECES, was killed early yesterday morning (Saturday, November 6) in a motorcycle accident. She was only 25 years old.

RIP Nicci

"25 Years In Rock", the new DVD from German metal queen Doro Pesch, will be screened on November 23 at the UCI Colosseum (Schönhauser Allee 123) in Berlin, Germany at 7:30 p.m. Doro will also take part in a signing session at the venue starting at 6:30 p.m. Admission is 8 euros. In addition, a release party for the DVD will be held at 10:00 p.m. that same night at Blackland (Lilli Henoch Str. 1). Fan-club members get in for free, non-members pay 5 euros at the door.

"25 Years In Rock" features Doro's entire 25-year anniversary concert, including guest performances in front of about 10,000 enthusiastic fans in Düsseldorf, Germany as well as a China special, outtakes from Doro's 2500th concert and a whole lot more. The DVD will be released in Europe via Nuclear Blast on November 26, 2010 and in the rest of the world sometime in 2011.

The second trailer for the set can be viewed below. Also available is video footage of Doro performing the SCORPIONS classic "Rock You Like A Hurricane" with SCORPIONS members Klaus Meine (vocals) and Rudolf Schenker (guitar) — taken from the "25 Years In Rock" DVD.

Pesch celebrated her 25-year career as the reigning queen of German heavy metal by performing a three-hour set on December 13, 2008 at the ISS Dome in Düsseldorf, Germany. HOLY MOSES, LEAVES EYES' and ARCH ENEMY opened the show and were followed by full set by DORO herself, which included guest appearances by Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth (OVERKILL), Jean Beauvoir, GRAVE DIGGER's Chris Boltendahl and guitarist Axel Rudi Pell, former NIGHTWISH singer Tarja Turunen, SCORPIONS' Klaus Meine and Rudolf Schenker, as well as a host of other female vocalists, such as Liv Kristine (LEAVES' EYES), Floor Jansen (AFTER FOREVER), members of GIRLSCHOOL, Liv of SISTER SIN and Sabina Classen of HOLY MOSES.

"Fear No Evil", the latest album from Pesch, was made available in North America in June 2009 via AFM/Dismanic/Ryko Distribution.

Released in Europe in January 2009 via AFM Records, "Fear No Evil" entered the German Media Control chart at position No. 11. This was the highest chart entry for Doro in her home country in almost 20 years.

After a break in 2011, Doro will begin writing material for a new studio album.

A trailer for "The Unforgiving", the long-awaited concept album from Dutch female-fronted symphonic metallers WITHIN TEMPTATION, can be viewed below.

"The Unforgiving" was produced by Daniel Gibson and is based on a comic book story written by script writer Steven O'Connell (BloodRayne, Dark 4Cool. The band asked comic artist Romano Molenaar (Witchblade, Darkness, X-Men) to draw the characters and scenery of "The Unforgiving", which is set for release via Sony Music in Continental Europe and Roadrunner Records in the U.S., U.K. and Ireland, Japan and Australia.

"The Unforgiving" track listing:

01. Why Not Me
02. Shot In The Dark
03. In The Middle Of The Night
04. Faster
05. Fire And Ice
06. Iron
07. Where Is The Edge
08. Sinéad
09. Lost
10. Murder
11. A Demon's Fate
12. Stairway To The Skies

Fans recently had the unique opportunity to secure a personal credit in the special edition of "The Unforgiving" by sharing the video for the new album track "Where Is The Edge" with their Facebook fans. The video for "Where Is The Edge" contains exclusive preview scenes of the upcoming movie "Me & Mr. Jones", directed by Oscar-winning Dutch director Paul Ruven. The movie is a thriller inspired by the disappearance of Natalee Holloway on Aruba, the island where also the movie itself has been secretly shot.

"The Unforgiving" storyline unfolds week by week when the band reveals new prequel pages on its homepage. With the album art featuring the main characters of the comic story such as red-headed beauty "Sinéad Harkin" (Queen), WITHIN TEMPTATION fans around the globe will have more clues to discuss the question who are "The Unforgiving."

Commented WITHIN TEMPTATION: "The song 'Where Is The Edge' is based on the story of 'The Unforgiving', a graphic novel written by Steven O'Connell. However, there is a clear link between the storyline of our new concept album and the thriller 'Me & Mr. Jones' as they both deal with mystery, murder, guilt, and a lack of forgiveness."

WITHIN TEMPTATION recently postponed its previously announced European tour after it was revealed that the band's frontwoman, Sharon den Adel, was pregnant with her third child (father is WITHIN TEMPTATION guitarist Robert Westerholt). The couple has a one-year-old son, Robin Aiden Westerholt, and a five-year old daughter named Eva Luna den Adel.

Drummer Stephen van Haestregt left WITHIN TEMPTATION earlier in the year in order to focus on his family life and work as a studio technician.

ARCH ENEMY have set "Khaos Legions" as the title of their new album, due in May via Century Media Records. The CD is currently being recorded at Sweet Spot Studio in the south of Sweden with engineer Rickard Bengtsson (who produced 2005's "Doomsday Machine").

Commented ARCH ENEMY drummer Daniel Erlandsson: "We had a very inspiring and creative time writing this album. I think this is definitely evident when listening to the new songs. There's tons of variation in the material, ranging all the way from very melodic to extremely heavy.

"As you can expect there's no shortage of killer riffs and intricate guitar work; the Amott brothers [Michael and Chris] have come up with some very cool yet demanding ideas!

"This album has some of the fastest songs I've ever recorded, along with a bunch of heavy pounding mid-tempo songs.

"As always, it's difficult to describe music in words, but rest assured — this album will be one heavy fucker!"

I love WT! I was a bit worried about their next album, to be honest, but maybe it's gonna be a good one in the end. I still want to catch them in October on their next French tour.

Apparently France is not part of Europe either.. But that's not new. At the very best, Paris may belong to Europe sometimes. Eh, yes, complaining again that there isn't a date for every single town. On the other hand, it's quite criminal to me that they put like 15 shows in Germany and that some other parts of Europe are completely ignored :s
Ah, anyway.
