I know...I've read through here and the site has been mentioned quite a bit. I run the website, though, so I just wanted to say hey. I'm glad everyone has found it (it used to be found at my old dimwhit.com/dio location). I don't have a forum there (tried once, but the only real traffic I got was spammers), so I'm thinking I'll hang out here a bit for my Dio discussion. Looks like a great site.
I love Elf...an all-time favorite band for me. The early music is a blast to listen to, as well. Glad to see others feel the same way.
Cheers! |

| Beside Metal I have been listening to that kind of music for quite a long time .It gives me some nostalgic feelings, for it has been that music my parents listen to ,when I was still a little child. After discovering that Ronnie did that music too , it is like two worlds colliding.Well it is great and I can't get enough of it.Dio has been the best now and he even was in those ancient days. |

I happened upon this material/site quite some time ago.
Certainly it is not captivating like Dio's work to come, but it is just so intriguing to hear him on those recordings and know what his style was like early on. You can hear his vocal skill is not quite developed as it became.
Neat site. How did you find all this musical material? I'm just generally curious.
I'm a dork, may I ask, do you know how/what they recorded songs like this on back in that day? _________________ "Too many flames, with too much to burn, and life's only made of paper." - RJD |

I might mention it on the site, but I got the original batch from a guy from the Dio Digital Tree (which I don't think is around anymore). Since the music wasn't easily available, I decided to make the website. Since then, I've had many different people send me more music. I don't think I have everything from that era, but I have most of it.
No idea what they recorded on back then. |

It was your site where I found "The Rape of Andre Lucia".
A masterpiece in my opinion!
Itīs so sad that thereīs no studio-version of this song.
Does anyone know why? _________________ No more night-Iīve seen the light

Thanks Rimax! It's been fun running the site. I hear from a surprising number of people who knew Ronnie back in those days.
I really need to check these boards more often... |

| Has anyone taken the plunge to buy the Ronnie Dio & The Prophets early years boot (28 tracks) that's currently on Ebay? I just wonder how the sound quality is. Any comments please.... |
