I see the song Jesus Mary and HOly Ghost on the DVD, and that is a song from the "Last in Live" CD with Tracy G. I have never seen a DVD with Tracy G, so is this one of the tours with him?

Never seen this cover. When is it coming out?

Jeffrey

I have two Bootlegs with Tracy G.
One in Vienna (audience rec) and one from Sofia, bulgarian TV.

It´s not my favorite Line up ...
Jesus, Mary... is not on the bulg. Dvd.

Ok, sorry to harp on about this but I've just stumbled across a DVD release called 'Definitive Dio'. It is from the same label 'Candlelight/Plastichead' who are releasing the "Dio" Live We Rock CD/DVD in the UK & Europe or 'Inovations' in the US (and Japan).

But for this DVD, that currently has no artwork displayed, Amazon gives some detail about the contents. It says the following;

Product Description
Definitive dio live is a two disc dvd, disc 1 features one of the first dio concerts from a 1983 show at the san jose civic auditorium, capturing the raw feel of the live experience with classics from black sabbath and rainbow. Disc 2 is taken from the bands 1985 the last line tour stop in philadelphia, rocking even more classics from dio. The late Ronnie James Dio is immortal in the annals of Heavy Metal history not only because he was a multi-platinum artist and the lead singer of three of the greatest bands the genre has ever offered: Rainbow, Black Sabbath and Dio but also because he is responsible for bringing the now standard devil horns sign to a whole legion of metal fans.

So I assume that as it states '85 for the Sacred Heart show that it must be the one that I have read was not released because it featured Viv. On the one hand this is very exciting but on the other I wonder whether Ronnie would disaprove... I'd hate to enjoy something that upset him. Oops, scratch all that. I clearly didn't read my own post! It's the 'Speacial from the Spectrum' show, not a SH show. Now I've disappointed myself Sad

Anyway, as for the first disc, well I must confess to having heard a bootleg recording of the San Jose evening show and it is an incredible performance. I had no idea it had been filmed. I just hope that it hasn't been butchered like the We Rock DVD was. I just can't watch that - I have to stick with the VHS versions.

As I said previously, there is a suggestion of cashing in (excluding Niji releases of course) but it is hard not to get excited about the opening of the vault. But it goes without saying that we could have waited a lot longer if it had meant keeping the great man with us a lot longer!!

ps. Are these apparent new releases worth a new thread?

(edited due to my own stupidity!)

Yes, I am thinking it will have some footage from Tracy G years. We have not seen any of that yet, so it would be new to the fans.

We'll see. Where did you order from Oli? I don't see it at Amazon.

It certainly is Oli! I can't recall ever waiting for a release with so little knowledge of what it actually is. But I will have to wait a little while to hear it as I have put it on my Christmas list!

If you have seen the Time Machine vhs compilation there is a clip of Stand Up And Shout with this audio on.. I would guess that clip has been filmed at San Jose... and if so, I guess the entire show was filmed as well...

I have listened to the audio cd through the Spotify system, and it a good concert, good (but not great) audio quality...

At least it has the original intro for Holy Diver.. I like that...

I also got the same information from my friend. She is a crazy bootleg collector. This is DVD + CD set and DVD includes live performances from 1983 San Jose and 1985 Philadelphia, and CD collects sellected songs from themselves.
And lineup is as below:

Disc 1
1 Stand Up and Shout 2 Straight Through The Heart 3 Shame on The Night 4 Children of the Sea 5 Holy Diver 6 Stargazer 7 Heaven and Hell 8 Rainbow in the Dark 9 Man on The Silver Mountain 10 Dont Talk to Strangers 11 One Night in The City 12 We Rock

Disc 2
DVD
1 Rock N Roll Children 2 Long Live Rock N Roll 3 Rock N Roll Children 4 Man on the Silver Mountain 5 Heaven and Hell 6 Stand Up and Shout 7 Holy Diver 8 Gypsy 9 Caught In the Middle 10 Dont Talk to Strangers 11 Straight Through The Heart 12 Invisible 13 Rainbow in The Dark 14 Shame on the Night 15 Guitar Solo / Jam 16 Shame on The Night 17 Holy Diver 18 Sign of The Southern Cross 19 Dream Evil 20 Jesus, Mary & The Holy Ghost 21 Last In Line 22 Gates of Babylon 23 The Mob Rules

Of course Jesus, Mary & the Holy ghose is not from 1983 nor 1985.
If this DVD truly includes great performances, I will be so excited.

And I will wait and see how Olivious feels about this.
Looking forward to your comment, Oli !!^^

Don´t get me wrong - if the Niji-Camp will release it - I´ll be the first buying it.
But if not - I try to get the Bootleg!

Why fight against them?
Try to find a arangement!

Thats the sight of a FAN!

Hmm, it irritates me socalled "serious" online stores don't check out where this titles come from, but put them up as if they were official releases... usually with poor video and audio quality..

With that said, the San Jose shows was filmed professionally (as I understand it) and would really like to see a official release from that show...

And also I would like to see some footage released from the Tracy G lineup, if there are any...

And the Wacken show from 2004 (?) would be a show I would like to see released, as this was filmed too....

Cheers Dean. I have cancelled my order. I will not by any bootleg - no matter how interesting it may be. Ronnie and his music mean the world to me. I never purchased a bootleg when he was alive and i wont do it now.
