When it boils down to Christmas music, truly, nothing says it more to me than Charlie Brown.

This pretty much says it all. Nothing musically feels more like legitimate Christmas to me.
I'm sure you can find any of the full songs searching on Youtube.
Gosh, certainly this piece:

I can't seem to find my favorite. There's a part in the music where the piano playing really grabs me.
Certainly this stuff is not rock or metal. But the whole soundtrack by Vince Guaraldi for the Charlie Brown xmas special is so beautiful. The whole thing is positively worth the buy in my book, espeically if you like such music. _________________ "Too many flames, with too much to burn, and life's only made of paper." - RJD |

Love that Halford stuff. Good for him. You can love metal and still know the real meaning of Christmas.

As many here know, I did a Christmas show in Ohio for the last five seasons. The economy took itss toll on the show, and I am not doing it this year. My favorite song that we did was our own inturpretation on The Little Drummer Boy, which I will post as soon as I get some time.
We used to open the show with this song Stryper Winter Wonderland. Its a great feel good version of the song, and always a hit with people

Okay I didnot want to post in this topic
I am not a great fan of Christmas....
Listen folks Christmas was banned in my country for 400 years, it did us no harm and I wish it was banned again
So to see a topic about Christmas songs.... spit!, yuk!
I hate Metal stars doing Christmas songs
But would you believe I have a favourite song
Its not by a Metal artist, its by Frankie Goes To Hollywood-The Power of Love, I love the lyrics and the message in the song.
Frankie Goes To Hollywood

In more modern times Anneke van Giersbergen has covered the song and I love it even more....The Power of Love...was not a hit in the USA, not sure why
Anneke van Giersbergen

If you think its crap please let me know
Anyway here is my Christmas song to you good folks in DIO.
Its by Agua de Annique and has the talents of Anneke van Giersbergen once again A very simple song but it Anneke's vocals will leave you hypnotized
