My wonderful wife have just pre-ordered a 'standard issue' copy which is a limited run of 1500 as a christmas present for me. I had a look at some of the pics and just had to have the book. Its a real tribute to Ronnie and £10 from the £40 cost goes to the stand up and shout fund.

They are doing a hardcase version which is £150!!! but it has more photos etc etc we couldnt afford that.

Anyone else ordered this? Very excited

thanks for the link I just ordered mine ( HardKase Edition) , and yes it s very expensive especially shipping (40£) but it looks great.

And 40£ goes to the stand up and shoot found , so it s another way to help them. I hope we get new stuff from Niji soon, I still have $ to spend , I think xmas will be in october this year Razz

I know this site. And my friend pre-ordered already from Japan.

But now I'm checking exchange rate every day.
Paypal charges on the day of pre-order.

Non - that's a good idea about keeping an eye on the exchange rates.

If I wait on the US Dollar to get much above what it is now, which at this second about .62 British pounds, I'll be waiting!

So...I couldn't wait, and my husband just ordered me a Christmas present! Sometimes it's not that much fun knowing what you are going to get, but this time it will be!

Just a bit of a warning, I ordered 2 Hardkase Editions the day they became available for order and they are showing on my credit card bill now. I thought they wouldn't bill until the product was shipped in late November.

If she doesn't, I'll probably go ahead and buy a copy for myself. I wonder how many they've presold already.

, £150 is a bit much for the really special one Shocked

it does look beautiful though. I have my fingers crossed for the standard version but this would still be the most expensive book ever bought in this house Very Happy

I finally preordered this photo book!
I can't wait for the arrival.
I was waiting for the exchange rate movement, but I'm afraid that stock of the limited edition is running out of it.

Ah, I did the same. I would also follow the exchange rates very often and it seems that the pound is getting a bit stronger so I thought I'd pre-order now! Wink

Still would like to have this.

My wife was willing to get it for me, but I didn't want her to pay the $85.00 bucks.

Not that it's not worth it, I just don't think my wife should buy it for me.

Almost bought it one day and then backed out.

Damn. Got an email today that the hardkase edition has been delayed shipment until December 17th. That was supposed to be my girlfriend's Christmas present.
The standard edition is only delayed until the 6th so people who ordered those will probably gets theirs in time.

My Birthday is Saturday Dec 4th, and my wife has already ordered it for me, but they told her is doesnt ship until today 11/30, so I probably wont get it before my Bday. Oh Well, its coming just the same!

I got an email last night saying:

Dear Customer,

Due to unforeseen circumstances we have had to slightly delay the release of both editions of the Ronnie James Dio Photographic Memoir.

The Standard Edition will be released and despatched in the week commencing December 6th. This is due to last minute binding complications that have now been resolved.

The Hardkase Editions have been delayed slightly longer due to the same binding issues and supply issues with the flightcase itself. The book will be ready to be despatched commencing December 17th 2010.

Our terms and conditions state that orders will be fulfilled within 28 days of the release date and we are confident this will still happen. Once your package has left you will receive an email to say it is on its way.

We realise that some of you will be disappointed with this news and we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused with our first release; if you wish to communicate with me please do so by emailing info@rslimitededitions.com
