Thanks a lot for the posting of videos.

Isn't Jorn's tribute album "Dio" out today here in North America? Believe it was. Bad timing though, as StarCraft 2 is also out as well.

Jorn is pretty darn good. I like that he tried to sing like Dio. Still, levels less.

The other guy BRUTALIZED country girl. I could do better myself! Take that to the bank!

It felt vacant hearing those songs. This was depressing for me to watch.

A very nice gesture, but more depressing than uplifting for me.

I'm sure Ronnie would love folks are playing his songs, but Ronnie would also know that they're not done as well.

Also, Jorn was nice making his own tribute song, but it made me want to vomit from the heaps of cheese being stuffed in my ears.

I know this was a downer post from me. Sorry, folks.

Nobody can do Dio better than Dio. Wink

Well, to me the band did look very solemn. Which you would expect considering the circumstances. Not sure if I was reading that because I expected it or they really were down doing the show. It was the first time without their longtime friend/frontman in many years together. I feel for them . My heart really aches for them. I don't think they want a future with Ozzy either.

I think they don't know what to do. They still want to play those songs with Dio, but he isn't here anymore. They don't want to quit and they don't want to play "Paranoid" again.

I see what you mean.

It was a solemn performance, not quite 'rocking' in the traditional sense.

I have to be honest, I just react angrily at things. I'm really bummed Ronnie passed away. I hate hearing other people trying to sing his songs. There is no fitting Tribute in the sense that as I said, nobody can do Dio better than Dio.

Hi guys

Sounds you're like you're being rally hard on the fellas. Of course your'e not gona sound like Ronnie. The guys were doing there best to pay homage to the fella. I was there at the show and when you spoke to people afterward it didn't really matter what the guys sounded like. They were there for Ronnie and thats' what counted.

There are several opinions on what the cameras were doing.....but I suspect they were being used only for the big screens.

I would love to think the show was being recored for everyone but I really do doubt it, unless the band had a change of heart from when the announced the show would not be filmed?

Footage from the High Voltage festival is due to be broadcast on Sky Arts 1 in the UK at the end of August.

Man, I would kill to have that station here, lots of good music. That's great that it was filmed though.

Great news, I just found audio of the complete concert here:

It's not great quality as I was expecting though, definitely audience recorded.

For folks in UK
HEAVEN & HELL: Highlights From RONNIE JAMES DIO Tribute Concert To Air On U.K.'s SKY ARTS
On August 28 at 9:00 p.m. local time, U.K. cable satellite channel Sky Arts will broadcast presumably professionally filmed highlights from the High Voltage festival at Victoria Park in London, England, including the July 24, 2010 performance by surviving HEAVEN & HELL members Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Vinny Appice as a tribute to their fallen bandmate, Ronnie James Dio. Also scheduled to be broadcast are clips from ZZ TOP, EMERSON, LAKE & PALMER, FOREIGNER and GARY MOORE.
Iommi, Butler and Appice were joined at the High Voltage festival by legendary former DEEP PURPLE and BLACK SABBATH man Glenn Hughes and Norwegian vocalist Jorn Lande, who sings for power metallers MASTERPLAN and has just released his own tribute to Ronnie.

I should mention that a .flac version has shown up on torrents. It contains all the songs, plus the guitar solo and wendy's speech. audience recorded, but the quality is very good considering.
