It's probably going to be this December when i go see Roger Waters, The Wall. But as far as the best I have seen already, I would have to say Tool last month. They were so great, just blew me away. Dio is still the best out of all of them, but you said non RJD so there you go lol

Can't say Dio?

I haven't been to huge amounts of concerts, but gosh...

Ozzy's No More Tears tour blew me away. I saw him at the now demolished McNickles(spelling) arena in Denver, as well as Red Rocks. Incredible high energy fun. I had front row at red rocks. Ozzy dumped buckets of water on people. Zakk's playing was phenomenal.

I'm very pleased to have caught Alice in Chains before Layne passed away at one of the Ozzy shows.

In terms of guitar playing, I have to say, I once saw Extreme like 15 years ago, and they were amazing. Nuno's playing is so second nature and good that I cherish that experience. I also got to meet him after the show. I was huuugely inspired to get serious about guitar. I have always liked the chemistry both he and Gary Charone have.

OMG, there's a band called Hed PE. I have had the good fortune of seeing them on several occasions since I cover them for my work. The singer is quite the charismatic character.

Also, this one:

The guy fronting Hed PE, Jarod, is WILD! I get soooo pumped when he's performing! Lots of great music. Very 'vulgar,' but quite clever. Elements of heavy metal and hip hop. Incidentally, I love a good fusion of these styles.

I once saw Ani DiFranco's show at Red Rocks. To me, she's one of the most talented women that has ever existed. I realize it's not metal, but I was taken back by her solid talent, her beautiful voice, and huge following. This woman has quite an amazing style.

Korn was an amazing show. The thing is, we just walked back stage and looked 'official.' We were there for a couple hours!

I saw Dio play with Rowan Robertson when I was 17. I had incredible seats and a bloody good time. How could you say not to include DIO?????

Also, I saw Dio play w/Tracy G when I was around 20. I got to meet Ronnie and the band after the show. It was one of the most fun moments I ever had at a show when I got to meet my long time hero!

Don't mention DIO???? lol

I wish I had a picture of when I met Dio!
