There are several opinions on what the cameras were doing.....but I suspect they were being used only for the big screens.

I would love to think the show was being recored for everyone but I really do doubt it, unless the band had a change of heart from when the announced the show would not be filmed?

WOW!!!

Just getting over the hangover from yesterday but still got a smile on my face after seeing the tribtue show at High Voltage. It was amazing and a fitting salutue to Ronnie. Kicked of with E1510, Mob Rules and the place went nuts. Jorne Lande was awsome. From what I can remember (I knew this would have happen Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes ) They played 'I', ' Children of the sea' Country Girl' An Amazing version of 'Die Young', Bible Black. Turn up the night. Heaven and Hell and an encore was Neon Nights. Glen and Jorne were awsome.

Wendy came on stage to thank the band and crowd. The place went silent as she held back the tears and there were loads of fans around me doing the same. An Amazing moment that moved everyone.

One mof my mates who doesn't really do Sabbath was sobbing. And afterwards was telling me was a fantastic moment that was.

Sorry it's brief and no dobut I would get the sack from being a gig reporter.

As for the festival it self. First class. Meet so many wonderful people on the day. One big heavy metal family. The crowd were awsome, respectful very friendly and all there to see that majic moment, As Wendy said, Ronnie was with all yesterday.

Cheers guys. Hope somebody else can fill in the blanks

Thank you so much for letting us know youtube site Olivious.
I can't hold up my tears.
Because I can imagine how Tony, Geezer and Vinny feel as they play. Of course when they play, they must have thought that Ronnie would have sang this way, that way.
As to Heaven & Hell, they don't play "black sheep part".
That's the symbolic part of Ronnie's expression.

I feel that their sound itself sounds different anyhow.

I just strongly feel that nobody can replace Ronnie.

Coincidntly I did a gig today with Black Sabbath dio years band.
When I see these films, my sadness gets stronger even if those 2 singers are wonderful.

It would make sense for it to be released to the public, with profits going to the Stand up and Shout cancer fund for Ronnie.

That would get more funds to the charity, and make all of us happy as well. Two fold. A fitting tribute to Ronnie. Sad, sad , sad not to see Ronnie in front of his band. Sad

Thanks for the youtube links everyone.

Jeffrey

As far as the cameras being used to film close ups of band members for the screens, I did not see any screens with the images from band members.

I could see the image of them on the camera screen, but no big screens showing them. So where could the images be going if not on stage? All I can guess is that it was recorded for a future release. Has to be. Why would they want this not to make money for Ronnie's charity fund? Wouldn't Ronnie have wanted to share it with his fans, even though Ronnie wasn't really "there"?

Regardless, I am so grateful for the footage we have seen. That is more than I was expecting by the strict rules on cameras.

Two additional vids of them playing Heaven and Hell seem to have surfaced. Still loading, so I can't comment yet:

Here:
Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7GBx_o2639s
Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LiC8Uzwpi7I

Edit: OK, I"m watching "part 1:" now. Poor sound quality again. And it reveals that there ARE jumbo-screens that were depicting the band-- lets hope that pro-camera was actually RECORDING to some form of media, and not just doing the closed-circut-TV thing.

And Here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FpEX0UTOyJc
watching now-- this one has decent sound quality! ETA: and it goes on long enough to capture people chanting "Dio! Dio!" at the end, which is very cool.

Die Young (poor sound quality Edit: BUT-- has most Wendy's speech at the end, including bits that the other clip left out.):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QmEguUbWwAA

Neon Knights (poor sound quality, but catches some of the "Dio! Dio! chanting at the end of the show):

Well you could actually tell something there, Jorn did an amazing job on Mob Rules.
