Now that the High Voltage festival has been and gone its time for us to say goodbye and thank you to Heaven & Hell.
I know there is a DVD in the pipeline and probably a few other goodies awaiting us but the band will not play together as Heaven & Hell again, so I would like to say thank you to Tony, Geezer, Vinnie, Scott and above all Ronnie for giving us so much.
I feel honoured that I got to see 'black sabbath' in the UK in 2007, got 3 new songs and a whole album and DVD and I am delighted that Ronnie and Tony/Geezer got to put the bad blood behind them.
So I say, raise a glass to Heaven & Hell - great times were had and I wish the boys well in whatever they do going forward.

Amen to that.
The faces on the band were so sad. From what I saw on youtube, I could tell it was very difficult for them to play without their longtime frontman and friend. But they stayed strong for him.
I respect them for their devotion to their friend . He was more than a singer to them, more like family. And hats off to Wendy, she is obviously still struggling without Ronnie in her life. She showed amazing strength for the crowd.
I can't imagine what pain they feel for the loss of Ronnie. But I can see they are continuing to show their love. Thank you for sharing some of that with the fans.

Indeed.
Cheers.
I love what these guys did together.
I look forward to seeing/hearing any new material.
Do you have a link to that Youtube vid? I will search. _________________ "Too many flames, with too much to burn, and life's only made of paper." - RJD |

I will always be grateful for the two opportunities I had to see these gentlemen play together live. The show I saw in Albuquerque, NM, last year was (and I believe, always will be) the best show I have ever seen. I wouldn't trade that experience for anything in this world.
Thank you to Tony, Geezer, Vinnie, and Scott, for all the wonderful music and the special memories. And to you, Ronnie, my sincerest gratitude for all you have done for your fans. You have shared a magic that transcends time. _________________ "You'll never make me be like you. I'm Master of the Moon!" |

I was lucky enough to be there at this very emotional but powerful and beautiful show. I tried so hard to keep it together but by the end I was sobbing my heart out. My husband felt emotional too, and he hardly ever shows his feelings.
The band played beautifully, I'm sure Ronnie was there in spirit as it looked as though Jorn and Glen sang better than they have ever done in their lives. At times I could almost hear a bit of Ronnie in Jorn's voice, even if it was just a whisper. At times Tony's guitar sounded sorrowful, almost wailing out in pain as though his feelings flowed from his fingers. I could see the emotion on the guys faces. It was obviously very hard for them to play without Ronnie. There were a few tears on stage and a lot of tears off stage in the crowd. At times the emotional wave hitting me was overwhelming.
Glen kept telling the crowd how much Ronnie loves us all. The crowd kept shouting out " dio,". and showing the horns up to the sky.
Wendy was there and said a very heartfelt thank you to everyone and spoke about Ronnies cancer fund. You could see she was choking back the tears. I wish I could be as brave as her. Wendy is an amazingly strong and beautiful person.
I don't really know what else to say. I'm still feeling the emotion of it all. It was amazing |
