Hey guys, what's out there for Rainbow live cd's. I know about On Stage, but it's obviously not even the full concert, so where's the rest?

In other words, which ones are the same, theirs also Live in Europe, Live in Germany and Live in Munich, is that it? Are they all completely different shows? Have the complete shows of anything been released. I'd like to get all the Rainbow shows that are available, but I don't want to buy an album and it have the same tracks on it too.

There are so few Dio era Rainbow live recordings that whatever you buy will undoubtedly be duplicated somewhere.

I believe Rainbow on stage was a multiple show recording and only the 3 german dates are full show recordings. I think thats it for official releases....no doubt there are a few unofficial ones floating around.

Rainbow on stage album was made up with so many sources.

As to Kill the King, 1976/9/28 Nurnberg source and 1976/9/29 Munich source may be mixed. 1:01-5:10 should be from Munich.

Man on the silver mountain - Blues - Starstruck
1976/12/16 Tokyo afternoon show and evening show should be mixed. And also A part of 2:13 min right before Starstruck is cut off. And after Ronnie's saying "Thank you!", Jimmy Bane's "Arigatou" is cut off.

Catch the Rainbow
1976/12/9 Osaka, Japan show and 1976/12/16 Tokyo evening show are mixed.

Mistreated
1976/9/25 Cologne source, but Ronnie's solo part at around 2:02 is cut off and shorten.

16th Century Greensleeves
1976/12/16 Tokyo evening show non cut source.

Still I'm sad
1976/9/28 Nurnberg basically. But whole drum solo part is cut off.
And Ronnie's vocal take is quite different from official album "Deutschland Tournee 1976", so it is expected that vocal was overdubbed. But truth is unknown.

Wow non that's crazy, can someone let me know what all the official releases were? I can't believe they did all that work for On Stage and didn't put more tracks on there.

All the sources are not official releases.
Most of the takes are bootlegs.

If you look at the discography on the main site you can see all the albums (live/compilations/studio) that Ronnie performed on with Rainbow........However it doesnt have the 3 German live shows listed:

Live Cologne Sporthalle
Live Nuremberg Messezentrum 1976
Live Dusseldorf Phillipeshalle 29.9.76
