DIO COVER CONTEST?

I had this idea that it would be really fun if these guys threw a talent contest to see who could best cover Dio.

Tons of crap could come out of the wood work, but it could materialize an exceptional talent.

Have you ever heard Jim Breuer do his impression of James Hetfield? If that can exist, I imagine there's someone out there that could do a chillingly similar tone w/Dio's voice.

This was just a thought I had.

Does a Dio cover contest interest anyone?

If I had a backing band, I'd sing Never More and bet you I could do it reasonably well.

I am all for people covering songs...........but no one will ever come close to Ronnie James Dio - EVER.

Every cover I have every heard of a Dio song (and god there are so many doing the rounds) are a shadow of the original. I like some of them, but they will never cut it.

Dio is Unique, Dio is a one off, Dio is.........Theeeeeee Voice!

Sure man, I love watching covers. As said before though, I've never seen a proper Dio tribute though. There's been a couple I liked but it still didn't come close.

I have made a cover art poll in another MB and it was cool so why not one in RJD MB? Nice idea.

By the way there is a poll already for covers, it doesn't include my favorite Master of the Moon cover so it's incomplete. Wink
