I was so surprised to hear "Rainbow Eyes" at the Memorial Service for Ronnie. I have always loved that song. His voice will bring you to tears on that album. I figured it was a forgotten gem from so long ago, but someone else must have a special place for it in their hearts.

Excellent album. One of the first I bought after discovering Dio on Holy Diver. Not quite as heavy as the music with Black Sabbath, but fine hard rock, indeed.

I think that all Rainbow cd's with DIO are in top 10 albums ever made in HARD ROCK music, that's sure for me...

Favourite song, today it is Lady of The lake, have anybody heard cover of this song by Catch the Rainbow? they have made a Rainbow tribute cd, and Lady.. is bonus truck on it, band include members of helloween(one of the best metal bands ever!!!) , and guests

8 of 12 tracks are from Dio's Rainbow era, check out all album or only few tracks and tell me what do you think about it..

Interresting thing to mention :As far as I know the Guitar-Intro of "The Shed (Subtle)" is a rip off , of a guitar part from the Jesus Christ Superstar Musical. This Album has been my second Rainbow LP.On Stage was my first.Compared to on Stage this Album sounded much to tamed to me.But allmost every song is great and Ronnie's voice make it a unique Masterpiece - as allways.

Great album and Gates Of Babylon is the sensational cut here, LA Connection and Lady Of The Lake continuing the medeival ambience but what a shame this turned out to be the final Rainbow/Dio album.
I had just left school at this time and I had to see Rainbiow live with Ronnie, but it wasn`t to be and Ritchie had some kind of mental breakdown and the dream died. PowerKnight Twisted Evil
