I don't know what to say, i met Ronnie one time in 2005 at the DoubleTree in Boise Idaho and he was so kind to let me sit with him and drink a couple beers even when the tour manager was not happy with me being there and yet Ronnie said it was ok and we sat and talked for a while what a guy!... we all know what he meant to us and that will never change and it's all on the wheel he so often sang about, goodbye Ronnie James DIO!
From me.

Yup I met him once as well. I was actually working as part of the "local crew" Unloading trucks and setting up equipment.Back in 2000 at Meadowbrook Farms NH Scorpions,Deep Purple,Dio. I was in heaven just moving there equipment. That was when Ronnie popped out of his bus.Made some rounds then popped out to the loading dock where he chit chatted with us a bit then signed all our back stage passess. So down to earth and such a people person. Now I have a Scorpions back stage pass(They headlined) with RJD's signature.Kind of Unique.
They broke the mold with Ronnie... |
