have yet to post anything since the news, but will later. Everyone knows how I feel about Ronnie up until his death, but no one knows how we feel since his passing. My sympathy goes out to Wendy, Simon, Geezer, Roger Glover, Steve, and his family and close friends. I can't begin to imagine their pain from a fan perspective, we loved him as a friend and part of the family in our home, but I am sure it does not even come close in comparison. Anyway we are thinking of flying from Kentucky to LA for the memorial, neither me or my family have ever been on a plane ever, not to mention LA. I do have a cousin that lives in San Diego. We also have never been to Chicago, New York, Detroit, Atlanta, Cleveland, St louis, and a number of other cities except when Dio was playing. We have been to over 70 shows since 94, met Ronnie 25 or so times, and have over 80 items signed by Ronnie, mostly albums. I have no idea what to expect in LA, I thought New York was a madhouse compared to the small town of Paint Lick, Ky of no more than 500 people. Anybody with any insight and info would be appreciated before our journey. But the reason I posted this was to see if anyone else from past shows is going Sunday? I have went to so many shows & driven all those miles, it would be something that I would regret for the rest of my life if I didn't go to the final show. I have met a lot of great Dio fans along the way. Tapio, Scott Clayton, TeRRy, Johny Rocker Pelton, Red Head Ernie, Paul Valentine, and so may others. Was hoping to hook up with other Dio Disciples. And I know my Dio site has not been updated in awhile, been exremely busy with work, and I just am not in the mood now to post anything about his passing. It's hard to even listen to his music & go into the Dio room without tearing up. Let me know.

My wife and I live in the Los Angeles area, and yes, We are attending the service.
Only saw Dio 9 times in 3 diffrent cities.
If anyone has any questions regarding the Los Angeles area, in relation to the service, please feel free to ask. My wife and I are happy to help in any way we can.

Financially I just cant make the trip, even though I want to so badly. Please throw my name on your list.
I just heard the GHF freaks are going to be there protesting. I hope that they do not get any attention, unless its a Metal fan putting his foot up their asses.

And yes, I heard about that too.....
They are attention whores......the same group that protests at the services of our fallen soldiers.
I just hope that Dio fans everywhere realise....the last thing Ronnie, or Wendy would want.....is any kind of trouble, or stress.
I honestly think the best thing we can do.....is ignore them, act like they are not there, be bigger and better than them...like we truly are.

Yeah you are right, but i only say that because they deserve to have a foot up their Ass, This Day will be sacred to Metal/Dio fans, and no one should take away from the beauty and celebration of that. That includes the fans. Everyone should just remember why they are there, and remember that these are the most despicable so called Christians to walk the earth. They will have their day of Judgement, and the hatred they spew will damn them for sure.

Believe me......I was not disagreeing about the foot up their asses 
I've just seen on multiple sites where "fans" are calling for violence.....
We that are there, need to be above that, Ronnie would not want that....And Wendy doesn't want OR need it I am sure.
It only takes a few bad apples to ruin the bunch.
I hope that one day these people do get a big black boot up their asses....just not at Ronnies celebration.

I hope my thread (that was removed) wasn't read in the wrong light. I was saying something needs to be done about them, but not in a "lets start a riot" sort of way. That is the very last thing I want to happen. I just hope something can be done to prevent them from being within 10 miles of the facility.

It was removed becoz I refuse to give those bastards the time of day but how was you to know that.
I just don't think they are even worth talking about and I have seen them in action before and the police will make sure they are well out of the way. |

Fair enough, I hated even posting the thread, I just wanted to make sure people were arawre of the situation. Thanks for the explaination.
Oh and let also say, thank you very much for taking the time with getting my account back. That was driving me crazy, and turned me into a web stalker trying to find an admin I could get in touch with lol So, thanks again for all your help.....the wife thanks you too....and the dogs, cuz now I'm calm  |
