I've been giving all the albums a right good listening to which thinking of Ronnie and sending positive energy to him and I gotta say Intermission was a forgotten album for me. Considering it was released as a stop gap when the record company said no to a full live album I am once again reminded of the fantastic sound quality of this live works. Vinny appices bass drum sounds exactly like it did on the Sacred Heart tour......the most powerful bass drum sound ever - his DW kit comes no where near sounding as bit as that old TAMA monster! Ronnie is at peak on this album and relistening to Craig has given me a real appreciation for how good a player he is.....all in all a top album. I so wish the sacred heart Video would be issued on DVD with some of the cut out stuff re-inserted......I would so love to hear Claude Schnells keyboard solo in full surround sound!! This mini album is part of the reason why I love this band so much...............if you dont have it.....I urge you to check it out! _________________ Stand up and Shout!!!!! |

It is one of my favorite live recordings of all time, but Craig is only on the studio cut on that one. The live stuff is with Vivian, and the band was AWESOME on that tour... _________________ http://ladyrock.informe.com/ |

Saw that show with Viv, and it was one of the most memorable concert moments I have ever had _________________ Check out Al Diamond Phillips/Nevermet on the web

I have this album as an original vinyl, and there is no mention of craig. is it really true that he is on that studio track? mind you, dio with viv perform that on the special from the spectrum dvd.
anyway, i think this is a great-sounding live album, but the studio track is really bad. i mean, i fast forward it on the dvd also. it would be interesting to hear unreleased tracks from that period, just to find out whether dio was really going to the direction of time to burn. i cannot believe they would have, but just would like to know. _________________ Dio's voice is like music to my ears. |

DIO do not play "Time to Burn" on the A Special from the Spectrum VHS & We Rock DVD. They do play it live - with Craig Goldy - on the Sacred Heart Live VHS/DVD, which is also filmed and recorded at The Spectrum in Philly.
Vivian Campbell has not recorded the guitar parts on Time to Burn, or performed it live on stage.
Cheers! |

it was a shame that intermission was not a full show (Live) album folks, the sacred heart tour as we all know / was one of dio,s best tours ever, especially with the roar of denzil the dragon on stage aswell, i went to see this tour at hammersmith odeon in 1986, & only have a bootleg tape of this show, i would of loved to have the full show on cd format (with good sound) _________________ PEsneesby |
