I made the mistake of playing one of those once... I've wanted one from that point on! There is a reason they cost so much...they are worth it!
The one i tried was $1300.00 and i just can't pay that much for an accoustic which i just don't work with that much so it would be hard to justify the cost for me.
I have a bunch of guitars some are expensive and some are not, but i will buy guitars off and on untill the day i die, it's just who i am. I just missed a killer deal on an accoustic from Hawaii made of Koha... i just didn't have the bones for it and i'd spent too much money on plumbing stuff. Oh well there's always deals that come and go, this was a really really good deal though, it was only $250.00 and it was worth at least $600.00 IMO! SIGH!!! |
She got lucky and found it in a pawn shop for $200! It looks like it has barely been played. That girl can sniff out a good deal. Of course, she's cute and blonde, I'm sure that helped her out!!! |

I have only Ukrainian and Chinese instruments... two acoustic guitars "Trembita" made in Lviv, Ukraine, one electro-acoustic Phil Pro and one bass J&D Brothers... and my sweet dream is Fender Precission for left-handed persons - for visual effect! _________________ I'll carry on to do it right, or... get out! | I have a flute. I used to play when I was in high school, and I still get it out from time to time. I was going to get rid of it, but my grandmother convinced me to hang onto it. |

Okay here's the way it works for me... I played in a band a long time ago that did a lot of cover tunes, mostly classic rock stuff like Blue Oyster Cult, Ted Nuget, Mountain, ZZ Top, Bad Company, Spirit.. songs from bands like that, we also did some original stuff which is what i much rather do. I really have no interest in playing the music of someone else, i'd much rather make my own, that's what feel natural and comes to me naturally. I'd played in other bands short time where we snuck in a Rat song here and there but still always ended up making our own. And if you don't practice songs you learn all the time you will forget how they go, although just a little work going over it and it does come right back.
So right now i don't play any cover tunes, Al and I talked of one that i will start here shortly but right now all i have are my own old songs under my belt.
1. Burn me.
2. Stone Steps.
3. Sad is Best.
4. Seven Angels.
5. Monsters.
6. Monkey Hand.
7. Three Times.
8. K Lady.
9. Empty eyes.
10. Ascending.
11. Seventh Song.
12. African Sky.
13. Snow Covered Mushroom.
14. Run Away - NEVERMET
1 Trough 13 were all songs that i had to do everything drums vocals bass and all the guitars so it took me forever..not counting Monkeyhand where a friend of mine did the drums for me. And in African Sky a little chick i know sang backup for me. That stuff was a project called Shalimars Freak Show.
You can do cover tunes if you wish and they are good to get started but doing your own material is really the point of doing it in the first place to me. |
Hey,GG... Quick question for ya my friend....
Why is "Seventh Song" number 11 on that list? Curiosity has the best of me.... _________________ http://ladyrock.informe.com/ |

got a fender stratocaster aswell with marshall amps and everthing buyng an explorer next month
about playing your guitar n tabs n everything i can reccomend installing some software called guitar pro 5 really easy to get the tabs into it you can select wich part of the guitar bass drums and so on you want to play by clickin the tabs in the buttom and allso switch between solo and rythm. it allso includes midi files for listening to what youre playing as youre learning xD.
on another note make sure you learn to play chords aswell alpha and omega for any musician |

Play both! That is what you do, go back and forth and give each some of you time and they will help you see things in a different way! How are you doing Reem you still have that little deer pic? _________________ GUITARGOD |
