You know I keep coming back to this DVD and it truly is awsome.....apart from Ronnie being immense and Cozy just rocking it out all the way through the keyboard Solo is just incredible.......I so wish I had been old enough to see that line up in action........I am 40 in a few weeks and if I have a regret its not getting to see Rainbow with Dio play.................... _________________ Stand up and Shout!!!!! |

Happy Birthday when it comes...
I am happy to say as well...at 43 I was too young for Rainbow with Ronnie James Dio as well....thank Goodness for this dvd.
One of the best dvds out there!
I was just 1 year too young for my parents to allow to me to go to concerts I would have to wait until 1979 before I would be allowed to go myself. When I was old enough it was all over Ronnie had left Rainbow
Only time I saw Rainbow live was with JLT |

Thanks.......1st September is the big day! Wonder if Ronnie wants to come over and sing happy birthday before I blow out my candles???
I love the DVD, the whole band were on fire and played through surround sound the power of the band is awsome.
Never seem Ritchie play live, which is a shame but I have seen Ronnie plenty and plan on continuing to see him as long as he plays and I am able to get to the shows! _________________ Stand up and Shout!!!!! |

Unfortunately I also did not get to see RJD in Rainbow but I did get to see Ritchie Blackmore with JLT a couple of times. JLT if ok but he is no RJD in my opinion even as a writer. Rainbow had radio hits with JLT but Rainbow is always praised by the critics to this day with the music Ritchie Blackmore and RJD produced was the best. Ritchie Blackmore is definitely in the same catagory with Tony Iommi and Jimmy Page. The guy could play in his sleep he makes it look so easy. In my opinion the British have the best guitarist they seem to get it right. _________________ If you wish hard enough you might be surprised what awaits you at the end of the rainbow! |
