OK the best news comes to those who wait and we have been rewarded with the news of a Greatest Hits tour in November here in the UK.......so what do we wanna hear?? I'll start!

I want to hear at least one track from every album Dio has done from Elf right up to The Devil You Know.....kinda like a live anthology of the mans career.......BUT please play Kill the King and Stand Up and Shout - my top 2 tracks of all time!

Having said that (and going totally against my above statement!) I have no issue with the tracks played but I would like to hear some less regular songs on this tour, although I suspect with such a short time to put it together we will get a fairly standard set.

Only thing I will add is I wonder if we will get more than 90mins which has been the norm with H&H???

OK over to you lot - name your tunes!!

MOTM wasnt my favourite album although I did go and see the tour and enjoyed it.......I'd like to hear some of the less regular tunes of each album.....you know the ones where you hear the first few notes and think 'I am so bloody glad I came tonight.....this is a special night' - but to be honest every Dio gig I see is special and I cant wait for these few dates in the UK..........Bring it on!

i am hoping he sticks to dio tracks only, maybe some rainbow if he has to!. will there be anyone going who hasn't had chance to see heaven and hell/black sabbath in the recent past (and hopefully in the near future as well).

i would love to hear

like the beat of a heart
king of rock and roll
i could have been a dreamer
evilution
otherworld

dunno how realistic any of that is, just glad to get to see him in action again.

My opinion doesn't count for much since I've not yet had the opportunity to see DIO in concert, but if I could design the set list, it may be something like this:

Stand Up and Shout
Holy Diver
Rainbow in the Dark
One Night in the City
Sacred Heart
Dream Evil
All the Fools Sailed Away
Hey Angel
My Eyes
One Foot in the Grave
Don't Tell the Kids
Fever Dreams
Push
One More for the Road
Master of the Moon
...and maybe close with We Rock. I don't know.

So now that I have a dream set list in mind, I guess I'll just keep DREAMING ABOUT A U.S. TOUR!!! My heart aches when I worry it may never happen.

But I certainly hope all you lucky, lucky fans in Europe enjoy all the shows! I have no doubt they will all be spectacular, no matter what songs the guys play!

I doubt Dio would hit the states anytime soon. Between his dates this fall and the possible recording of the Magica trilogy, where will a US tour fit in.

Regardless, heres my wish list.

- As long as its not about love
- Jesus mary/Institutional man
-dont talk to strangers
-breathless
-all the fools sailed away
-hungrey for heaven
-sunset superman
-naked in the rain
-the eyes
-killing the dragon
-strange highways
-lord of the last day
-shoot shoot (I really think this would be a killer song live)
-Gates of babylon

Interesting since the Tour is being dubbed "Dios greatest hits" . Does that mean no Long live Rock/Man Silver Mountain and Heaven and Hell?

Thanks! It's difficult to choose a single set list, of course. I know this could never happen live, but one day I intend to do what I call a "Dio Odyssey." It's going to be a massive day-long journey through Dio's albums--from Stand Up and Shout on Holy Diver, 1983, to In Dreams on Master of the Moon, 2004, and everything in between. And it's going to be loud.

That sounds like an awsome idea!! I once played every album back to back up and including Lock up the Wolves......obviously that was a few years ago and pre-kiddies but you have made me think I may need to sned the family off for the day, crack open a bottle of Jack and start from the beginning......I should calculate how long it would take to listen to all the full albums Dio has recorded........It will be a fair few hours of stuff!!

Absolutely! It would be even better in the car--just you, Dio, and the open road! It can't get any more awesome than that. You would probably want to leave the Jack at home in that case, however...

If I get to more than the London show this November I will have all my Dio stuff in the car so will be seriously fired up by the time I get to the gigs!!! Very Happy
