I saw him with Elf when they opened for Deep Purple in Long Beach and I knew he was going to be BIG
I was also front row center for that by accident as I was pushed over from in front of where Blackmore was to be standing, and I got my first (of many) handshake from RJD at that show _________________

Children of the Sea.
I remember (in 1980) I had only been familiar with Never Say Die (the album) and Iron Man (the song) from Sabbath, before hearing CotS. The acoustic beginning threw me, but when the electric kicked in I heard the Sabbath. It wasn't until later I realized that the old singer from Rainbow was in Sabbath. _________________ Catch the Rainbow |

It was strictly an accident. I had never heard of them previously, but shortly after that show I saw that they formed Rainbow and I made it a point to see them at the first opportunity....which happened to be their first show in Antioch, which was one of the best concerts I ever saw. _________________
