Which was the better band with the greatest songs?
The Early Whitesnake stuff is classic but so is early Thin Lizzy.
Thin Lizzy did not have the chart hits like in the USA but in the UK charts Thin Lizzy had more hits in the UK than Whitesnake with "Whiskey in the Jar", "The Boys Are Back in Town", "Waiting for an Alibi" and "Killer On The Loose", all getting into the TOP 10,Whitesnake only ever had 2 TOP 10 hits in UK.
This is a close call for me as I am a fan of Early Whitesnake but Thin Lizzy just win this one simply becoz there songs had more substance. |

True.
I also voted for Thin Lizzy
I mean they are one of the rock "creators". They have almost 10 years more history than Whitesnake. _________________ Video games are bad for you? That what they said about Rock 'n' Roll... |

You know one thing i've noticed about Whitesnake, correct me if i'm wrong but it seems they lack material, it's been the same old songs from day one over and over again and never anything new!? Or have i missed something? I like what they have done but man write a few new ones now and then...
Thi Lizzy has a lot of killer material, i'd have to go with them on this one. _________________ GUITARGOD |

I know some of you think...I hate DC...but I don't never have...just never liked the direction he took Whitesnake and what he did to the likes Moody, Marsden and Sykes..I can say good things about DC from time to time
DC last great work was his solo cd...'Into the Light'
Some great songs on this cd...its not Whitesnake but very much DC and is worth checking out.
Highlights from the cd for me are....''Love is Blind'', "River Song" ,"Don't You Cry" and "Too Many Tears" this is a new version of the song he wrote with Adrian Vandenberg.
The cd is about 9 years old now but I think its a classic.
Best thing he has done since 1987 if you ask me....
Do you remember this....
