this poll needs more votes, you can't really say which one is the best this way... _________________ You're Breathless, ready to burn

I can't choose just one...my favorites are
The Longest Day
For the Greater Good of God
The Legacy
This is really a solid effort from Maiden. |

Brilliant song - got me right away - the solo in the middle is superb - my brother and i had it on at about 4 million decibels in the car going up to see Wishbone Ash last week. Know all the words off by heart cause you have got to go with the flow - they play all the new album, you need to know what you are getting into. I think thats where we will have a headstart on the US - weve had more time to listen to it. Only tracks i could do without hearing are The Pilgrim, Out of the Shadows and The Legacy.
We are both going to the Glasgow gig in December - anybody know a good place for grub and drink at teatime in city centre - somebody mentioned the crystal palace!!?? |

I know alot of people complain about the direction Maiden has gone in but I love it - I'm only annoyed that they haven't done a DVD of the tour where they played the whole album live - I'll bet that was awsome.
Anyway, on topic I voted Lord of Light - although the Reincarnation... hooked me intensely as did Brighter... and pretty much the whole album, Lord of Light just grabs my attention and sends my imagination racing.
The only songs which still doen't grab me are Different World and Out of the Shadows - it's not that they're bad songs - they just haven't grabbed me yet to the extent the rest of the songs have. |

Got to agree that Lord of Light is brilliant -a number of us thought it was one of the best off the album - it was fantastic live - on the subject of Out of the Shadows, i wasnt that impressed by it either on first hearing but they did a great live version of the song at the SECC on the 2006 tour - did you see the MOLAD tour? what did you think? |

Unfortunately, I've yet to go to a gig... - It will happen one day...
However, some of the Youtube clips seem really good - the album as a whole seems to hold-up well with most of the songs sounding as good or better live than in the studio.
Although Lord of Light is still my fave, after watching a clip on Youtube The Longest Day has taken second place from Brighter Than A Thousand Suns.
The narrative style of these songs hooks me in - it was this style that attracted me to Iron Maiden and subsequently Metal in the first place. |

And if Iron Maiden is your first gig...what a first gig that will be for you!

Being it's IRON MAIDEN, all the tracks are Killers! I'll go with the Murray-Harris penned "Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg." I like it's Heaviness. _________________ "The old ones speak of winter, the young ones praise the sun and time just slips away..." |
