|
|
Planet Rock are running a poll to find the greatest voice in rock. Personally I think it is RJD. Other singers fans will vote en masse for their favourites, so I suggest we do the same. The link is http://ims-go.com/go.asp?URL=8882&MID=139817&UID=24499710 . I hope this works, if not just go to planetrock.com to cast your vote. I already done mine. Lets get Ronnie to the top! _________________ I love music, especially Rock, & have been a fan of RJD for many years. The best Rock vocalist ever in my opinion. |

Back in my metal band days - we just WORSHIPPED Ronnie James and Klaus Meine - undoubtably the two best hard rock singers ever. _________________ Bass guitarists hold it all together. |

Of course the poll was hi-jacked by the folks at Whitesnake.com
I mean Iron Maiden fans and Dio fans have better things to do than vote all the time
Results of the poll.....

02. Freddie Mercury (QUEEN)
03. Paul Rodgers (FREE, BAD COMPANY)
04. Ian Gillan (DEEP PURPLE)
05. Roger Daltrey (THE WHO)
06. David Coverdale (WHITESNAKE)
07. Axl Rose (GUNS N' ROSES)
08. Bruce Dickinson (IRON MAIDEN)
09. Mick Jagger (THE ROLLING STONES)
10. Bon Scott (AC/DC)
11. David Bowie
12. Jon Bon Jovi (BON JOVI)
13. Steven Tyler (AEROSMITH)
14. Jon Anderson (YES)
15. Bruce Springsteen
16. Joe Cocker
17. Ozzy Osbourne
18. Bono (U2)
19. Peter Gabriel
20. James Hetfield (METALLICA)
21. Janis Joplin
22. Chris Cornell (AUDIOSLAVE / SOUNDGARDEN)
23. Roger Chapman (FAMILY)
24. Phil Lynott (THIN LIZZY)
25. Glenn Hughes (DEEP PURPLE)
26. Steve Perry (JOURNEY)
27. Jim Morrison (THE DOORS)
28. Alex Harvey (THE SENSATIONAL ALEX HARVEY BAND)
29. Rob Halford (JUDAS PRIEST)
30. Ronnie James Dio (DIO)
31. Sammy Hagar (VAN HALEN)
32. Meat Loaf
33. Alice Cooper
34. Geddy Lee (RUSH)
35. Brian Johnson (AC/DC)
36. David Gilmour (PINK FLOYD)
37. Fish (MARILLION)
38. Dave Lee Roth (VAN HALEN)
39. Biff Byford (SAXON)
40. Neil Young
Coverdale a better singer than DIO and Steve Perry....my arse he is
I know 2 folks who listen to Planet Rock...and this is 'maybe' your typical Planet Rock listener....
1.The last time they bought a cd was in 1984
2.Their last gig was sometime back in the 80s
3.They think Candlemass is a box of scented candles
4.One still lives with his parents and he is 48 years old
Planet Rock is for folks who don't have a cd collection in my opinion.

Damn!
The day I acknowledge Plant and Coverdale being better than the 3 Kings, Dio, Dickinson, Halford, is the day I surrender my allegiance to the cause of Heavy Metal.
Men, I think this means war! |

Well...something is terribly wrong with these results, and those four statements says it all!
