Magica wins! According to me, Magica is one of the best hard'n'heavy albums... and I can't wait to listen to Magica II and Magica III... _________________ THEY CAN'T STOP US, LET 'EM TRY, FOR HEAVY METAL WE WILL DIE!

| as much as Dehumanizer makes up for great heavy riffs, Magica still wins...tho not by much, i listened to the Magica Story again and was quite annoyed at having wasted about 20 minutes... |

I honestly dont't think you can even compare those 2 albums. Dehumanizer is one of the heaviest albums ever, and it's such a great concept album. Iommi is wailing on that one, and you mean to tell that magica's riffs dont sound the same as some of Iommi's? Some of the riffs are identical. I would give Dehumanizer 9/10 and Magica 6/10, but thats just me... _________________ "And we'll find the Sacred Heart... somewhere bleeding in the night" |

thats my point, you can't compare these 2 cds,you should had
Dehumanizer v Strange Highways...Craig's sound is nothing like Iommi,a fellow Craig Goldy forum member wrote these quotes when you compare Goldy v Iommi....her comments are how Goldy has these good points over Iommi.
| Quote: |
| His rhythms sounded solid but not chunky and clumsy. |
| Quote: |
| His leads had a neo-classical quality that was beautiful in execution. He seemed to be one of those rare guitarists who could play a well-planned solo with a lot of speed without sacrificing the feeling of the notes. |
| Quote: |
| I think Craig's true talent lies in his ability to pull off the solos with finesse and style. |
| Quote: |
| If I had to compare Craig to one guitarist, it would probably be Ritchie Blackmore. I think its the neo-classical approach and smoothness of his playing that seems similar. |
I totally agree with the above.
All I learning from this poll is you don't rate Magica much but the votes say something different.Fans love Magica and I would love a Magica 2 and 3!
Dehumanizer's songs all sound the same to me,and not enough highlights, and if I was to compare this to football,I would say Dehumanizer is like when a home team puts on a clinical performance and wins the game easy.Magica on the other hand is that football match, were you don't know what is gonna happen next and the scores are 2-2 with seconds to go...and there's a late goal for the home team!,much more exciting, end to end stuff....yeah gimme me that any day of the week! |

Dehumanizer that album saved some people!!!!!Magica came along at a good time(for me) too though. I had just lost my father so that whole scene really got to me. But overall Dehumanizer just came at the right time!!!!Heavy as Fuck and no Rainbows at all!!!! |

| There was only 1 song I liked on Dehumanizer and that was "I". I liked more songs from Magica so I'll go with that. |

I am going to start something on this board. Every week I am going to post a "Vs" topic, where you can vote which album is better (Example: This first one is Magica vs. Dehumanizer) I will keep doing it until all Ronnie James Dio albums (Elf, Rainbow, Sabbath, DIO) are covered)
Feel free to leave a comment on why you voted for the album you voted for. |
Can I ask what criteria you are going to use as to which album versus which album???
Why not Magica vs Mob Rules or Sacred Heart vs Dehumanizer???
Given the total number of albums, the vs combination is quite extensive. _________________ Sick of all of this
