Adams certainly has a good range and everything but it has been my longstanding belief that Dio has the best voice in rock music history, and beats the crap out of a few other genres as well.

I'd like to find someone I'd rate more highly, but I don't see it happening...

The only person that comes close to Ronnie James Dio is Roy Khan.
I believe is the only person good enough to take Dio's crown.

From a Vocalists perspective, I have to say this. I love Ronnies Voice, and singing his music is extremely Hard. I also love Eric's voice, and sining his stuff is some times down right impossible. Sorry HM, but he's better than Kahn. To say he is better than Ronnie is a little harder to do, because so much of what Ronnie does is about Charisma, and approach to what he is singing. Eric has a better range, but not as much Character. So I'm going to give this to Ronnie, but it is extremely close. By the way if you really want to get into Manowar listen to Figting the World Defender especially Very Happy

I relate them to Dio in Many ways. they like Ronnie have a specific identity, and have stuck with it. Their brand of Medieval Metal is very good. With a catalog as big as theirs, it is easy to find material that might not agree with everyone. but their are so many gems in that catalog. Do yourself a favor and give it a try. Start with the song Heart of Steel. You wont be disappointed Very Happy

I've seen Ronnie last May in London Astoria, he was perfect, a very monster! I love his voice, today he is the only one!

Eric Adams is phenomenal..a fantastic singer. He's right up there with the best. But Ronnie is THE best.

Ronnie James Dio was the best singer when I first heard him sing in the late 70's and in my opinion is still the best singer in rock to this day!

Well, for me both are equal, and for those not knowing Manowar, I recommend Into Glory Ride or Hail To England to listen to. Or just search for the Song: Bridge of Death on the web Smile
