Right I've got to go for Coverdale. It really was his song. Best version on Made In Europe. Ronnie was great but Coverdale was just perfect for it Cool

When RJD sang this song with Rainbow, he absolutely mullahed it.

This song belongs to Coverdale and Coverdale alone. Coverdale wrote the lyrics and they have come from his heart.

Only one man can sing this song. Just listen to the live Deep Purple versions, Live In London has got to be the best ever.

...Great Question...When I watch Rainbow 77 in Munich I want to choose Ronnie...but I also love David Coverdale...so I'd like to actually try to be objective...what versions do you guys suggest I compare/rate David's best effort?...Cali Jam Maybe?... Cool

nice to see this split in half; and given that this is the DIO site, it says a lot about the respect Dio fans have for Coverdale, in particular for the fantastic way he sings Mistreated.
