I don't know if you guys have heard the sad news, but Pink Floyd keyboard virtuoso Richard Wright has died after a short battle against cancer today. He was 65.

Very very sad and tragic news. R.I.P Richard!!!

I grew up with them, they were my heroes. Dark Side Of The Moon was one of the very first records I owned. While Roger was the brain, David was the muscle and Nick the heart, Rick was like the band's soul. I last saw him play with David at an open-air two years ago here in Munich. Somehow he was my favorite among the four, although I never met him. The news of his passing hit me harder than I knew. He will live on in my heart.

People always talk about Gilmour and Wates, but what would Pink Floyd really have been without the keyboards and sound effects he did?
Not much.

Together they made perfection. Pink Floyd would not be Pink Floyd without all of them Gilmour great guitarist, Waters great bassist, Mason great drummer and of course Rick was fantastic without him nothing would bee right!
