Not sure if anyone cares, but...

Official Gorgoroth Website wrote:
Gaahl, King and Infernus have decided to part ways.
Gorgoroth have existed as a three-piece for the past several years but have ceased from this moment on in this incarnation.

Vocalist Gaahl (lyrics) and King (bassist/composer) will continue the scheduled European tour in November under the name Gorgoroth with a replacement for Infernus.
King and Gaahl will continue to work together musically, performing their art live and recording in the future. This decision was reached by Gaahl and King as they have been the driving force behind Gorgoroth's music for the past 8 years.

Infernus has stated he will take King and Gaahl to court over future use of the name Gorgoroth.

Infernus should get cred for Gorgoroth, but I think he should let Gaahl and King continue to use the name.
We don't want any more Axl Rose morons, and after alle Gaahl is the true icon of Gorgoroth.

just a video of some guys in black metal attire going around doing things that aren't very brutal, I thought it was quite funny.

*EDIT*
I totally posted the wrong video link the first time, I hated the one I posted, but it's fixed now.

Hell no. I doubt we would ever see them on any of the people who didn't make it episodes. Metal is hidden from mainstream over here.

what the hell... Satyr looks like Bono dressed up as a greaser or something, and whoever directed the video should just die. I have no words to explain how uninspired, cliche, and boring the video is.

And stylistic in this sense doesn't even stop with music; it's as much about fashion, image and appearance. Norway's Satyricon are a rare exception to this norm – they never cared for trends, for the latest fashion in how one is supposed to present oneself and they always abhorred the tried and tested genre stereotypes.

...and that's why they decided to change the lead singers image, because they don't care about image?
and they write an essay explaining how great they are and how much they don't care about genre and how ground breaking they are.

The medieval fantasy settings of the earliest releases quickly made way for bone-dry, pure emotion. This band is going to the essentials, they stripped away all ambiguous metaphors and developed a very refined sense for sombre, great melody lines and precise

This is metal music in its most mature form - not as simple escapism or a form of anger management, but as a profound experience of what it's like to live in the increasingly dark age ours has become.

"We push - Push hard
Predetorial instinct, built for the kill
Commando - Stones in the water
Commando - The Age of Nero"

...beautiful and anger free lyrics full of maturity and creativity

"On a grey
Somber morning
Through blurry glass
The black crow"

...pure emotion, no ambiguous metaphors there

"Die by my hand
As close as you'll ever get
Die by my hand
Accept defeat and find peace"

...more creative and genre breaking lyrics

Largely written in a remote cabin deep in the Norwegian woods by Satyr

oh really?! Thanks for letting us know, since you made it soo clear that you didn't want to be defined by a genre, I wasn't really sure if the band would still do something so stereotypical of a black metal band.

So true, so true.

They made Nemesis Divina and Volcano, and after that... a lot of shitty albums.

Æsj. I think they should take a brake, let Satyr grow his hair back, and someone needs to remind them what BM is really about.
